The father has the meeting with his daughter in his favorite diner, because he wants to have a sense of control over her in a public place where he is comfortable and she (he thinks at least) can't make a scene. But it doesn't work. He does not have the control he thinks he has.

The fact that she went from this to “Me Myself and Irene” demonstrates her acting range. This is brilliant work by an accomplished actor. And yes, I miss her old former face as well.

Her face is her own business, leave it alone. Besides, she looks fine now.

It’s all about the hat. The hat owns the scene.

I always found Renee Zellweger a bit over-the-top and annoying… until I saw her here. This movie was like a starting point for her, to show her true range and potential.

Honestly I know at the end you’re supposed to be happy they can reconcile but he was so selfish and can’t see past his own self that he squanders personal relationships even to those he wouldnt be able to function without. Even people he was supposed to be loyal to. So it was hard for me to see him as redeemable. I am a firm believer in not letting people have a place I. Your life that don’t deserve it. She’s supposed to swallow all those feelings because he’s “all that you will have left” nah

I think Renee’s “Less is not more” is a subtle reference to William Hurt’s “Less is invariably more” as Macon Leary in The Accidental Tourist (1988).

William Hurt was THE best actor the history has ever seen. Renee is just one of the good actresses.

Actually William hurt says less is more earlier in the film as his advice for writing to his daughter. That’s why she said it

It doesn't make sense though, THINK. Why would the writers make a reference to William's old movie when they make reference to their own?
@yevgeniyaleshchenko849
@yevgeniyaleshchenko849 6 місяців тому
@@georgetollisonbuffett There is no such thing as the best actor because it's all subjective. Also, you can't compare them, for starters they are not the same age. Third, you don't need to trash talk or downplay talent of other actors to praise your favourite, GROW UP
