Love the part that Collei named her decoy toy Anbar after her good friend Amber cause it sounds so close but shows that she hold a special place in her heart and we will be glad to get her so those can reunite. Either game or story of the game

Forgot how much goosebumps sumeru's trailer gave me and its been a year, ngl i genuinely enjoyed sumeru's story alot even though it wasnt very liked by alot of the community i feel

I kind of love that the child Archon is kind of treated as the country's child, little things like the civilians wanting "the birthday girl" to feel loved on her special day is such a difference from the distance that the reverence causes between other countries and their Archons, its a nice change. And the fact that the Sages seem to actually be running the country and don't care about her as much...I kind of hope that the people who genuinely do care about her stand up to them of their own volition

The treatment of the Dendro Archon as “the birthday girl” is such a nice idea, with her potentially coming of age to rule like the other archons when she reaches physical maturity. Also, I feel like the sages are using her name to control the nation, similar to the White Lotus and Aang/Korra in Avatar, but much more malicious.

I love how after those intense scene they were like “ok now that that’s done here some cute events you might like ehe 🥰”

As excited as I am about Fontaine.....the 4.0 trailer doesn't hold a candle to this; nothing beats just how incredible Sumeru's trailer is.

Sumeru was Peak Storyline The story having direct connection with the Abyss , The Fatui , Internal Politics, Time Travel, After effects of a long fought War , Beliefs, The Way everything unfolded versions after versions. It was Peak Storytelling.The atmosphere, dire situation, despondency, hardships , world building the Desert set was only achieved by Movies and never by a game.

the fact that collei’s playstyle is so similar to ambers is so amazing, since amber had such an influence on collei.

I remember watching this just a few days ago… Now im watching the fontaine trailer…

Ya know, I'm starting to think that Sumeru is all an illusion. We see life be given to it through the dance that nilou does as a celebration. We know the Dendro archon is capable of making dreams or rather illusions "real." The title of the chapter is "The dream yet to be dreamed." and Dainsleif talks about a truth yet to be revealed in the roadmap trailer. Kusanali in the animated preview talks about how "this world is in a loop" and how she is "just the moon, the real sun is already gone." There's a voice that asks "aren't you ashamed of pursuing such trivial and meaningless activities in this land?" And we also hear an abyss herald say " are you really so ignorant, or are you in complete denial?" If it's meaningless, then why? If we are supposedly ignorant or in denial, then that suggests we dont want to believe what could be the truth. Maybe because it's all fake, and there is no sumeru. We see these giant ruin machines that we know are weapons from Khaenri'ah, maybe the great archon war really did destroy the entire nation and its previous God with it. So Kusanali in her older siblings place tries to create a utopia for her people at the cost of hiding the truth. My final evidence is that towards the end of the trailer, we see all of this destruction while Nilou dances and Sumeru city starts to disappear into gold dust. There's still so many questions though, what IS that tree? We've seen it on fire burning in Collei's dream What role does the abyss and fatui play here? Why is Nilou's dance being cancelled by the grand sages? Do they want to finally show their citizens the truth? And finally, how and why is the Traveler's color back to white towards the end of the trailer? We have not seen that since the beginning of the game when we see the Sustainer of Havenly principles.

"the world ... Forget me ..." I have a feeling that this line will hurt so much after we play the archon quests

I love how similar Collei is to Amber, what with her use of a bow as well as summoning a doll for what I’m assuming is her elemental skill. It’s a good way to communicate her history with Amber without saying it outright.

For all we know, she could actually help stop the Withering Zones using her Archon powers, but is unable to and doesn’t know that because the sages have locked her away from Sumeru. PS: Dori really gives off the vibe of “Call an ambulance, but not for me!”

Maybe we didn't found Fontaine better is because it wasn't Epic as Sumeru was. They tried to Fontaine a bit Sophisticated type

As a lore maniac that memorized all of Liyue lore, 75% of Mondstadt lore and 60% of Inazuma lore, this video is just so much information that my brain melts.

"...there is a push for folly" "I'm just a moon, the real sun is long gone" Add to these the postponement of Sabzerus Festival with the idea that it is confirming to themselves the fate of the former archon, I have a hunch that the story in Sumeru will revolve on factions (those who still believe that the old archon is still there, and those who celebrate Nahida's birth) - and how other parties (fatui, abyss order, etc) will take advantage of the situation for their own gains by further aggravating it? Some are also still stuck on the old ways/traditional beliefs (pursuit of knowledge and truth) - these people scorn the emergence of other forms of art and possibly schools of thought (dancing, which is according to the third teaser, is unconventional in Sumeru).

The scene of a bird encaged maybe is a representation of Nahida's current situation. She is being imprisoned by the sages. I think that's the reason as well why she was able to master illusion and dreams, in order to have quick escape from her predicament. Don't worry Nahida, I'll set you free and have you join my team.

3.0 and Sumeru in general will always be special to me. To me this is where the writing drastically improved, I was engulfed by the story and the characters. Hoyo surpassed themselves with Sumeru. I can't believe it's been a year already.

The Genshin Impact Storyline trailer Sumeru is the land of wisdom but there's a push for folly, could this mean some recognize they are in a loop but deny it?

I feel sorry for kusanali, the duty of being an archon was forced unto her. They literally just put her in that position just to fill a hole for the position of being a archon and what's worse it seems that people are just treating her as she is a joke. 😢

So far from what i understood from.the trailer, the Sages seized Kusanali as soon as she became archon and seperated her from the outside world by essentially not allowing her to go outside her palace/not letting others easily enter her palace. So they didn't even give her time to show the people what she can do for them. They have also control of her gnosis I assume because the akasha terminal is powered by the dendron archons gnosis. They are trying to make Kusanali feel unloved and neglected as they are clearly taking measures to stop anything done for her/in her name. It's nice to see brave people like Nilou who by the looks of went against Great Sage's orders and continued the dance in honour of Kusanali Edit:They seem to be obsessed with Rukkhadevata as they seem to want tk bring her back

i can't believe we are already getting fontaine in a month or so. my mind is still stuck in the 3.2 era. idk if its just me but i feel like the 3.x versions went by faster than the 2.x ones. maybe its because 3.0-3.2 shorther versions? or maybe because sumeru was way more fun? it just feels like yesterday when i first stepped into sumeru and unlocked dendro traveller. Back then when everyone was making theories about rukkhadevata's "world forget me" and learning the dendro reactions. Back then when everyone was asking mihoyo for amber and collei interactions. Back then when people doomposted cyno and alhaitham prior to their release. When people made baizhu=dendro archon theories. When we all cried during 3.2 archon quest. When people made theories that voice in 3.3 quest is istaroth. When people were complaining about the aranara quests being too long. Damn, I'm really gonna miss sumeru.
