In a way that was the most Kimi like ending to his career. Car breaking down, Kimi telling his engineer what to do, and making his decision himself. Im gonna miss that legend.

I think Hamilton underestimated Perez, he pretty much ignored that DRS detection point coming on the back straight. If he got DRS on that back straight he would pass him easily and he would be in front on him coming to the technical part of the lap when Perez backed him up. That was 6-7sec lost right there.

What Sergio Pérez is showing here is that he's a 1st class driver, on that can tackle the very best and fight with them even when it's not in the winning car. He's truly a LEGEND. Hamilton could only wish he had a team mate as strong as Checo Perez.

Honesly, that lap 1 cut by Hamilton was cheeky. He clearly saw Verstappin going for a dive as he tightened his entry to a corner closing a gap but leaving just enough room. He should have let Max by.

Yuki on the final lap was amazing, diveboming VB and giving his teammate a nice slipstream to get past him. Simply Lovely Yuki!

7:29 didn't noticed until now, but I see now that Checo let Hamilton past just before the DRS line to get it for him, just the enough to not loose too much speed and later pass Lewis on straight. That shows how brilliant this drivers are

Controversy aside, if we were to look at Verstappen's 1 lap attack to fight for the world championship, I think a lot of people missed that after the overtake, he positioned his car perfectly for the rest of the lap. He position his car to take the inside line in turn 6 and again in turn 9, the 2 best opportunities for Hamilton to retake the lead to prevent him possibly taking the inside and pushing him wide or putting him in a compromised position to take contact. He knew his tire advantage could take the more aggressive line and drove accordingly knowing the strengths in areas of the circuit. That is why I think Verstappen is really a championship caliber driver.

Verstappens move on Hamilton was brilliant, no idea why no one is talking about it.

Whether you love or hate Red Bull, you simply _have_ to give it up for Perez for holding up one of the best ever for as long as he did. That contribution was HUGE!

I know everyone has their own opinion on Max's first lap pass of Hamilton, but regardless of how you feel about it, Hamilton looked like he was miles away going into turn 6. What a performance by Max's brake foot.

Yukky Tornado didn't get the praise he 100% deserved for this race because of the title race. He was fast in all practice, qualifying, and the race, well deserved 4th place, and he went well at Saudi also. Hope he keeps it up next year, I had actually given up on him this year.

VERSTAPPEN is the deserved champ. Most wins, most pole positions, most better in qualify, most podiums, most laps led (by an enormous margin). Max beat Lewis fair and square, and he also beat the FIA, the British F1 establishment and the British media machine. Well done MAX...!!

I understand that Hamilton just had more to loose in case of an accident with Verstapen and Perez, but man, he was just not aggressive enough in my opinion. Cant leave doors like that when fighting for a championship.

Can't wait for the next season with new cars. I hope we will see a lot of battles with the new generation, Mercedes George, Red Bull Max, Ferrari Charles and McLaren Lando.

What a fantastic deserved winner after such a dramatic season. Congratulations to Max! So happy to see him victorious…..

Pause the video at 7:32. You can see Hamilton overtook Perez just before the DRS detection line. This meant Perez got DRS and was able to come back at Hamilton and overtake him. Which then enabled him to back up Hamilton and cost him time during the tight, twisty part of the track. If Lewis had been clever, he would have overtaken Perez after the DRS line. Got the move done on that lap. And not lost anywhere near as much time. Had he done that, he would have been far enough ahead of Max to pit under the safety car and retain track position. So to sum up, his eagerness to overtake Perez before the DRS line, cost him the world championship!

Yuki is also one of the last late breakers.

Man I was rooting for verstappen but felt sad for hamilton. Man did nothing wrong. If it would have been the other way around, i would have gone into depression as i am sure many hamilton fans are right now.

0:36, Vettel did the exact same move there that Verstappen did to Hamilton on lap one, yet I don't see anyone complaining about it! Max was right to say he gets treated differently. His move was perfectly legal, yet you had people saying "he didn't give Hamilton space". Erm, there's no obligation to give him space. The move was on track and legal. Yet for some reason, Hamilton was allowed to retake the position by cutting the corner by about 20 meters. And then the FIA had the audacity to lie to all of us, and claim "Hamilton has given the advantage he gained back".

3:47 didn't even try to stay on track. You know if it was other way hed have to give back immediately. Oh well at least he gave it back at the end
