The first time I saw this type of craft was during the 70's and my Aunt made bleach bottle bags. She said the pattern came out of some magazine. My sister and I both still have them. When my daughter was small, I made one by copying the one I had. I used yarn leftover from a sweater I knitted. She put her Barbie doll and clothes in it, and was able to travel with the toys.

I’m advanced in crochet , so I could pretty much follow, but would need stitch marker at beginning!! Also, verbal tea bk g would have bern much more helpful!! I’ll try it for sure. Thanks! It’s lovely in changing colors like this!! I’d have also put a reverse single crochet at the very top after the first single crochet row. It’s such a nice finishing edge!! And I’ll use ribbon instead of yard to tie a bow or maybe put in a deco theme button…. Sparkle yarn would be nice too… Could use to store fresh wash cloths for kitchen or bath… Just roll them up tight…. And tie on a scrubbie w/ribbon, would make a nice hostess gift fir someone! Everyone loves washcloths n scrubbies!! Many ideas!!! ❤️

I’ve been doing this with plastic coke ie: soda bottles of all sizes for years now and people love them! 💜💙 I used mine for house plants and the tiny ones are too cute for words 😊😊
