I believe this Vidbir is very strong, in fact, a strongest one in years if we talk about the amount of truly powerful songs. Alyona Alyona & Jerry Heil and Yagody have incredible potential in Malmö. Ukraine always slays the stagings for both Vidbir and Eurovision, I mean, last year they pulled of a great show in a literal bomb shelter. There are also diverse entries to add some spice to the selection, such as songs by Nahaba, Skylerr, and even Melovin, even though his music is rather generic in my opinion. There are only a handful of songs that are truly mediocre, such as ones by YakTak, Drevo and Nazva. So, to conclude, Ukraine keeps up with the title of Eurovision powerhouse.

Wow just so rude and disrespectful to the artists. I found that quite traumatic to watch, the way he just dismissed songs, almost with rage, just because he didn't like the first few seconds. No understanding for the ethnicity of the music either which personally I find sets Ukraine apart from other countries. He's so obvious too - he "liked" Melovin because he's a good looking bloke, and he "liked" Teresa and Maria because he has to because they are going to win (needs to save face). However, the only song he genuinely liked was the radio friendly one, which just goes to prove he totally voted for the boyband to win in Ireland because he can only understand basic pop music.

Alyona Alyona is going strong; it's definitely going to be a top 3 contender in the ESC.

Teresa & Maria is my favorite. Dreamer is my 2nd favorite. My 3 favorites are also Deban's favorites. We agree.

Deban is honest and raw when it comes to reaction videos, i really like it. You dont need to sugar coat things, and when people do this its honestly annoying. Love your reactions but to end some of songs not even at the middle of the song is kind of truly disrespectful. I personally enjoyed Tsunamia from Yagody a lot and I think it has similar vibes to Kalush/Go_A which both did pretty well in Eurovision btw. My other fave is Teresa Maria and Diva Maria as well and I hope it ends up winning. But we'll see it soon.

Ukraines has so many strong candidates. Der an’s taste just appears to be so conventional and conservative. The king of generic pop. The diversity and quality in Ukraines options is just so impressive. 3-4 songs potential winners of Eurovision. But Ukraine, please do not choose Melovin. This is the rare case of boring generic pop music with a cute face without the usual Ukrainian identity.

Yes, I’m Ukraine all the folk stuff is insanely popular and you guess it - flute is our traditional instrument so it’s everywhere. It’s like metal in Finland - you cannot escape it. But we love it cause it’s kinda gives us a special “brand” on Eurovision and in general 😊

It’s interesting to see how tastes vary, as so many people have different favourites from Vidbir. There’s a lot of quality here, even if not all to my tastes. I personally don’t get the hype around Teresa & Maria. It’s pleasant enough, I wouldn’t mind it winning vidbir and it would do well, but it doesn’t do anything much for me. It’s also very repetitive in the chorus, the same two lines repeated four times alternating the language. I prefer Yagody, or Melovin ,but can also see why either of them would be divisive. Live performances of all are going to be interesting to see, and let’s not forget that it isn’t unusual for Vidbir to throw us a curveball. Very few people rated Tvorchi last year and they won.
