I have three A119 mini dash cams that I like and work very well. I have a fourth vehicle that needs a cam and will be getting this new mini 2 for it. I also on plan on buying 3 new mini 2’s to swap out last year’s minis, and move them to the rear glass. Thanks for the side by side comparison with the V3.

I just put one in my minivan. It seems to work fine. The app does not work with CarPlay on. You have to disconnect from CarPlay, turn on WiFi on the mini, connect your phone to the Viofo network, then run the app. Then, when you are done, disconnect from the Viofo network on your phone, and turn CarPlay back on in the vehicle. You only do that if you want to download a video or change the Mini settings with your phone (which can be done directly on the Mini using the tiny screen).

The A119 V3 has given me reliable service in all my vehicles. I think the mini 2 will be a good upgrade. 👍

I have the v3 since 2020 and now with mini need to run a USB-C cable so that's a negative but I'm sure the other features will make up for it.

when starting, I see that it has a delay of approx. 15 seconds until it starts to actually record. the moment of stopping does not appear in the video: does it sound when stopping?

It costs +30% or more than the V3. Of course it's better. Great review, not just a paid-ad review like so many seen on YT and elsewhere, and showing us the camera's settings, how it reacts to voice commands, ... Good one.

Good review. We have two duos: A229Pro and A129Pro for our cars but the Mini2 voice command could cause me to replace 129 but dual cameras is a nice feature. Mini2 video looks very sharp! Might have to get one for my mom’s car 😂

This looks great, thanks for the video to show details. One of the things that i've always looked for, but rarely find, is a cam that mounts just like this does, but will let you adjust it quickly to point in a different direction, so for example if you get pulled over- the police are recording you, i think people should be recording as well. Nothing against law enforcement, it would just be good to be able to adjust the camera when needed..

I think the WM1 /2K beats the V119's and cheaper to, great night video

I know there is a problem with overheating! How do I tell the difference between the ones that were originally made and the improved ones? how do I know that the store that sells my camera has the new, improved version in stock?

$120 vs $80. I'm not sure the Mini 2 is worth a 50% price increase. I installed a V3 on my daughter's car and am now looking to install either the V3 or a Mini 2 on my own vehicles. Not sure which.
