The X100 sports a circular camera module that occupies a lot of space at the top of the phone. One thing that caught my attention was the uneven stainless-steel ring around the camera.It's thinner on the left side and gradually thickens, which might feel a bit peculiar, especially for those keen on symmetry. Additionally, there is a Zeiss in the middle of the camera.
The Vivo X100 flaunts a 6.78-inch display, matching the size of the Vivo X100 Pro.
During the Geekbench 6 test, the Vivo X100 actually outperformed the iQOO 12 by a small margin. Specifically, in the single-core test, the X100 achieved a score of 2221, while in the multi-core test, it hit 7581. On the other hand, the iQOO 12 managed 2157 in the single-core test and 6639 in the multi-core test.

Vivo’s X series of cameras and the X100, in particular, are a testimony to the fact how cameras on smartphones are improving. While the X100 Pro is hailed for its camera performance by the reviewers across the globe, the Vivo X100 is no slouch either. There might be a few areas where it doesn't excel, overall, I was genuinely impressed with the camera capabilities of the Vivo X100. Let me break down the camera performance of the Vivo X100 for a better understanding.The Vivo X100 features a 50-megapixel primary Sony IMX920 VCS bionic main camera with OIS, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 64-megapixel Zeiss super-telephoto camera with 100x clear zoom. At the front, there is a 32-megapixel primary camera for selfies.
First off, when it comes to outdoor shots taken with the Vivo X100, they're impressive. They showcase great detail, vibrant colors, and natural skin tones. Essentially, you're able to capture everything just as you see it with your own eyes. However, indoors, especially in a brightly lit room like my office, the images seem a bit washed out. The camera sensor seems to have difficulty handling excessive artificial lighting, resulting in a loss of the picture's original quality.
The telephoto lens works really well, especially when using portrait mode. You can zoom up to 4.3x without losing details, especially in outdoor settings. The depth of field, which is how the background blurs out, looks great in many outdoor portrait shots. It nicely separates the subject from the background, giving the photo an artistic touch. However, when I tried taking a portrait shot indoors, like in a banquet hall, the subject seemed a bit disconnected from the background, almost like they were pasted onto a blurry backdrop. There is also a Multi focal portrait feature, which allows you to switch between various portrait modes like the close-up, natural, classic and more.
