Lake Como is probably one of the main attractions of Northern Italy: a magnificent natural wonder, framed with cozy villages and towns, among beautiful mountain scenery. The lake is 27 kilometres long and located 40 kilometers North of Milan and serves as a popular tourist destination for Italians and foreign tourists; to purchase a Villa or even apartment is a dream of many, especially those who have been here already. In Como, the home of celebrities such as Madonna, Matthew Bellamy, Sylvester Stallone, Ronaldinho and many others.
Separate the beauty of the lake, in addition to its clear waters, give the picturesque mountains surrounding Como: from the South they reach a height of 600 meters, and often this area is called Marianske triangle; in the North begins the prealpine territory, and I can see the mountains in height more than 2 kilometers. The lake, which is also sometimes called Lario, is situated at an altitude of 198 metres above sea level and has a fairly serious depth of 425 meters. The total area of the waters of lake Como reaches 146 square kilometers, and its shape is slightly reminiscent of an inverted letter U. In the Northern part is the town of Colico, in the South-Western branch of lake Como in the South-East of Lecco. Other worth visiting cities around the lake: Menaggio, Varenna, Laglio, Bellagio, Cernobbio, Tremezzo, Dock.
P. S. This is my film combines 8 separate films in which I talk about 3 of the July days spent in this magnificent lake in Italy...
