If there is one thing i know it is that voice teachers will enjoy Gene | Metamorphosis | Grand Beatbox Battle Wildcard 2021, most vocal based beatboxer! Also anything Show-go puts out there is amazing. Facts about d-low sounds, inwardbass is the grimey deep sound, d-low zipper is just that d-low zipper, dlow flute is a a hollow whistle just with his tounge out and then humming creates that poly sound( thanks Marco Miller for actual explanation). D-low been beatboxing so long most his sounds are just cleaner than everyone elses so he sounds incredible at all times!

Okay -> to explain : Several techniques that D-low is known for: - “the duck noise” -“d-low scratch” -> a scratch sound that a DJ might do at a turntable -his tongue whistle (when he curved his tongue in a “U” shape and then whistled through it. Bass tones that can be confusing for some that he showed here: -Inward bass -> think Mongolian throat singing but inhaled -A lip roll (you suck in air between your side lips-> can make a kick drum when it’s fast air, and a deep deep bass when slow air) -a zipper (press your lips in a hard line, typically on the side of your mouth, and then suck in air) Hope this helps a bit! Since you love it so much, let’s see sound tutorial reactions! Check out B-art’s inward bass tutorial! (And yes even women can have a deep deep bass tone with it -> Chiwawa also uses lip rolls and inward bass a bit too!)

B-arts tutorial helped me progress a lot. I don't feel like he gets the credit he deserves for being a great performer and a more excellent teacher. The new school is gonna be insane. Edit: for some female bass Warlet is hands down my favorite both technically and displaying musicality in addition to having a gorgeous voice. Just wanted to get all that in.

D-Low is just simply the GOAT. He's been doing it for so long, attempting to hit even close, or reproducing a similar sound itself, off the first go when its out of your normal dabble, is commendable and respect for that. It is as mind blowing to take it all in especially at D-Low's scope. He has mastered his art. Great reaction vid tbh. She's doing the alexinho poly voice. It's basically where you find the place between chest and falsetto where your voice cracks, and then hover on that spot so that the crack itself becomes an oscillation. Essentially you are flipping back and forth between chest voice and falsetto suuuper fast. Stitches is different. He squeezes his chest while whispering so that the whisper comes out as a squeak, and then he adds falsetto on top of that.

You are going to have to watch a compilation of vocodah and King Inertia and also footboxg and Zer0... they are all other incredible beatboxers with completely mind boggling styles. Inertia and vocodah have crazy bass textures and sounds. Inertia has the lowest bass in the world and vocodah has the most diverse bass textures. FootboxG and Zer0 are incredibly percussive and have arguably the best drums in the world. BTW, this event was a battle format where they were responding to eachother.. so a lot of the antics that maybe you didn't understand are battle influenced. Like when he was snapping his fingers in the 2nd routine, and when he said Magic. Or in the 3rd routine when he is pretending to loop, it's because the person he was battling is primarily a loopstation artist.

Hello. The youtube algorithm brought me here. I just wanted to say that you aren't getting the "full flavor" of D-Low. At the moment, he is THE BEST BATTLE BEATBOXER in the whole world. It's because of his counters in the battles. In a battle, beatboxer does his own original beat and D-low counters with the exact same beat, on the spot, without preparation, when he just heard it on the stage, while making it even better. As he did in the SBX KickBack battle against most of his match ups. (Even though he had some time for preparation there, point is still the same) My point is, yes, the Winner's compilation is amazing to react to from plain vocal point of view, but there is much more musicality involved in the battles, which is something a vocal coach can appreciate, I presume. Other than that, cool reactions. ^-^

There's a damn good reason D-Low is the world Champion. No matter how hard you tried, you could never do what he does on a consistent basis! He is The God of BeatBox

yeeey=)) your water drop actually good=)) btw "inward bass" is done by inhaling though false chords, not using vocals (very difficult technique to even begin and absolutely unreal to master) in KBB they did one round per day one after another so they could answer to each other with jokes and counters, so this compilation slightly out of context of a battle "dialogue" =D

Many of the sounds beatboxers use are done breathing in, or at the very least sucking air in to the mouth. Like the zipper sound, the lip roll basses (in all variations.) And the inward bass, the grimey one he uses, it's the one he speaks in when he says "circle of death" and "broken, broken, your flow is broken" A very basic and easy to grasp explonation is, he is inhaling a burp, I mean it's a bit more to it then that, but it should give the idea that it's not a sound make by his vocal cords, at least not alone.
