He wasn't annoying or didn't constantly fk with what was happening. He was kind of just a lil fearful and that was perfect tbh. A lot of films have really bad comedic relief characters that are just annoying.

Tarek Legrand How is my statement racist? All I said that if indeed the two film series are connected, can it be theorized that Maurice and Dr. Zauis are related? Especially since Maurice’s name is a reference to the original actor who played Dr. Zauis in the original series, Maurice Evans. Heck, if the two series are connected, than maybe Maurice will become the original Lawgiver who wrote the Sacred Scrolls from the original series’ initial timeline before the sequels from that series changed history.

No. It's one of the worst comic book adaptations of all time. It's on par with Batman And Robin. Horrible CGI, bad acting, lame story, dull characters, boring fight scenes and countless plotholes were the recipe for that shitbomb and it's not hard to guess what came out from that oven.

Matt reeve is an incredible director, this is a masterpiece of a film. Compelling, emotional, gripping and funny. Beautifully made film showing humanity in the face of adversary, that ending was incredibly heart felt. This is a film i recommend watching in 2D as its better

Another detail that cracks me up in this scene is Maurice's over the shoulder shot of him roaring at bad ape, and as he stops roaring you can see his large mouth protruding out from behind his head closing shut and making the funniest expression I have ever seen XD

So I went to see the preview of it yesterday and I can confirm it was BEYOND expectation. Honestly, I highly recommend everyone to go and see it, you will not be disappointed. The CGI is so so real it's unbelievable. Matt Reeves did a fantastic job again, I definitely had teary eyes! 10/10

War was the darkest and emotionally draining in the trilogy. reeves was very smart with having just the right amount of humor with bad ape, to help break up the somber mood of the movie, masterfully done.

Mahogany Magik I know right! It's the little things like that, that makes all the apes in the movie so... So emotionally expressive that they are on a level where we humans can relate to, so so hard. They put in all the minute details they've noticed the actors doing and replicated onto the real(CGI) apes themselves to give them so much personality. This is why I love this new series so much.

These characters are fascinating to me because even though they are smart, they're still apes, and so they still have ape-like tendencies. They are not humans. They are apes that just happen to be really smart.

Bad Ape really is a testament to how good this movie’s writing is, because he could’ve easily ruined the whole movie, but they knew not to just make him into a clown, he has comedic moments but they feel organic, he’s also very kind and helpful so it really makes you enjoy his company
