It's called the ocean. It's no joke. Last year I went to the beach on a road trip and after I walked a little ways I saw a lot of people standing on the beach watching the water. One lady was up to her knees in the ocean just starring into the sea. That must have been the mother. Jetski's trailing scuba divers, helicopters going up and down the beachline. A simple desire to swim in the sea can be the last bad decision you make. Under currents exist. You can be pulled downward underwater with such force that you cannot resurface for minutes as you're pulled to a different part of the beachhead. Rogue waves can show up out of the blue like miniature tsunami knocking you over and then pulling you back out. To think, our ancestors got so sick of that place that they grew lungs and walked out of there. I don't blame them.

yeah, being trapped on a sinking ship is one of the most awful things ever. one particularly horrifying one was a south Korean ferry with like 200 students on it and as it was sinking the captain was abandoning ship while telling all the students to remain in their rooms. needless to say they all died and they were able to recover all of their cell phones which showed tons of them videoing their final moments, one girl was like "i think we shouldn't listen and we should escape because i remember hearing a story about people who listened to the people in charge by staying and they died", sadly she did listen and she died. captain was charged with life in prison. if you've got the stomach for it its an interesting documentary
