I think it's because Matt and Tommy are perceived as 'fans' rather than 'media.' These guys are getting the same dozen questions 10 times a day and everyone's trying to trick them into giving them that week's soundbite. P1 isn't out to do that, and I'm sure they can tell and get more comfortable.

@@robertharrington703 There are some instances where he speaks puts certain words in front of the other, when it doesn't need to be or simply rearranges the order of the words. Because, although he knows the English translation of the words he's saying, he forms the sentence in the way he would when he's speaking his own language. That is broken English. English words, but not adhering to the rules of the word ordering for the English language.. It's a very mild form of broken English, but broken nonetheless.
@robertharrington703
@robertharrington703 7 місяців тому
@@shona5512 I suppose it depends on what your definition of broken English is. The way you outlined it is but my logic is he does it consistently, so it's something I just classed as the way he talks. Like people who say who instead of whom, it's technically wrong it's just what they learned growing up (I'm not a linguistics expert this is just my thoughts 😂)

Genuinely one of the best interviews thanks chaps. You really let him talk. Sky F1 and the others always want the spot light on themselves. As for Carlos… well Legend. One of the nicest personality’s. A solid family oriented guy and that’s kept him level headed. Good job

Carlos should seriously consider when he retires working as a directive in F1. Everytime I hear him speak about the sport he's always spot on. He’s very intelligent and analytical. This guy could manage a team into success. He's also very fun and chill. No wonder Audi wants him. Great job guys!

This was so lovely, Carlos is really fascinating to listen to, he mixes seriousness and goofiness so perfectly haha. So thoughtful about everything and everyone. Love him. Really liked his thoughts on sprint weekends and reverse grid, surely f1 can work something out and try to do reverse grid at least once to see what actually happens? I get that potential crushes and cost cap are things to worry about but I think it could be worth it. Thanks, boys, you did really well! Now release the whole hour haha

The sprint weekend idea from carlos is genius, where as of now i can 80 -90% accurately guess the top 3. No one could guess the results if its reverse order, the lower end teams trying everything they can to keep that car ahead while the top try to catch up. The racing would be so god damn good. and like carlos said, it wouldn't ruin the main race at all and still be exciting.

It was only for a moment but he was super nice to me, a kid who was a nobody (just lucky enough that my stepfather organized the opening stage of the rally). And now, I'm surely becoming a fan of Carlos. He was great at Maclaren and I hope he gets to fulfil his potential at Ferrari. Would love to see him at Audi!
