When you think about it, the gas saver thingy actually makes you consume more fuel. A miniscule, immeasureable amount, but still, it lights up so it puts a tiny bit more stress on the alternator to power the LED 🤔

The fuel thing actually works. I had a F250 that was getting 11mpg. I switched to a prius and bought that plug. I was getting over 40mpg.

The interesting thing about these fuel things are: if someone can make a gadget that costs $6 that improves the mileage with 10-30% why doesn't every manufacturer just include one from the factory? I just can't see how people fall for it.

I used to work with a guy who had one of those fuel saver things in his car, but a bit more elaborate and a lot more expensive, and he was utterly convinced it was saving him a fortune, one day he offered to "source" one for me like he had underground connections and someone wasn't just ordering it on eBay for him. He also believed in every conspiracy theory under the sun which explains a lot I guess

The ones built specifically for individuals with disabilities are shaped like a round doorknob and only stick out an inch or two. The one shown here sticks out like 4 inches and in a wreck, could do some serious damage to you.

@@that.guy11 It's the former. Keyword stuffing is a legitimate tactic for SEO. Better search engines have ways of detecting and downvaluing keyword stuffed results but Amazon has a lot more ways to navigate between products so it's not as big of an issue.

Steering wheel knobs work wonders depending on what job your doing. They’re invaluable on a dump truck when you have to try to place 5 yds around a corner. Saves a tonne of skidsteering time. Mount it on or toward the bottom of the wheel.

That suicide knob for the steering wheel looks deadly as hell! Those things do come in handy when driving vehicles with a larger steering wheel, drove truck for 5 years with an eight ball knob and now have it on my riding mower. That modified brass knuckle thing would go right though you in a crash though, guess suicide spinner is a great description.

I know it's all for giggles and this is an older video but I just wanted to say: the steering knob was originally designed with making easier for Handicapable usage easier. My grandmother had one in her car when I was a kid and it was always weird to me too until I realized when I got older that it was because she couldn't exert any force with her left arm because of her age and disability and this made it possible for her to drive when otherwise she wouldn't have been able to. R.I.P. Grandma we miss you

The older generations sometimes referred to those steering knobs as "suicide knobs". The reason being that they could be used to make it easier to drive while drinking, or drink while driving, depending on your personal priorities.

Yeah it's because there wasn't power steering kids so when you drove trucks and tractor it was hard to steer quickly for getting on a trailer etc. It blows my mind people don't know what that's like now.

I've almost bought one of those visors before. Mostly because night driving has gotten very dangerous for me now that everyone has those nuclear bright headlights. Combine that with astigmatism and I can hardly see anything when there is oncoming traffic.

In the UK it's illegal unless you are disabled and can't turn the wheel from one lock to the other without one. They're awesome for parking especially, with a bit of practice, but sadly most people can't benefit here.

I had one of those steering wheel desks in the Army. I also had a netbook (small laptop), a printer/copier, and power converter. I would go out to my "office" anytime I needed to print something and didn't feel like waiting for a computer to open up or do it at home. It was awesome! The bad part was that I was at Ft. Bliss and the printer ink would dry out way too fast. So I would pop over to the PX and get a new cartridge for $15.

Just found your channel. As to the steering knob. We called them "knecking nobs" back when I was younger (I'm 80), and used them in cars without power steering. Most of them would fold flat so did not interfere with steering when not using them. They made one handed steering easy, with the other arm around your "honey". Power steering took away the need for them. The one you showed was too obtrusive for ease of use. By the way, I like your videos, especially when you try out after market products.

I actually got a different car seat cover from snailax a few years ago for $50. Though the one I got had multiple fans and was built into the middle part so it could blow both the back and bottom more effectively. I had it in florida, which was absolutely nessessary and still now in colorado and still going fairly strong!

The cup holder is best in the Miata if you toss the door hanger and mount it on the passenger side of the console using the screw already there. It folds up to allow the passenger to not be bothered by it. The ONLY place in a Mk1 Miata the driver can ergonomically drive and have a cup holder is that spot if driving solo. If driving with a passenger, she holds your coffee cup for you. That's her job. I put a folding cup holder like that (Walmart $3) on my 90 the first year I had it. Lasted till I sold in in 2010....it may still be working. About 1995 I saw it sold in a Miata accessories magazine for $20. That steering knob was real popular with hotrodders in the 50s and 60s. It is illegal in many states. Likely marketed to drift boys today. The food tray looks like crud my mom bought from TG&Y or Woolworth in 1970 for going to drive ins. Apparently Asia is starting to experience the 1960s/70s car culture of the USA.

10:26 - The point is to cut down the glare coming into your eyes from directly in front of you, which is where you HAVE to see, as opposed to wearing sunglasses which, although they cut down glare, also make it much harder to see other directions, such as when you look around the inside your car. Also, at night, you can see out the side windows and not lose detail (such as someone stepping off a curb), but still dim down headlights coming at you and reduce eyestrain a LOT.

The strong wheel knob is also known as a spinner in the trucking industry. You aren't allowed to do regular driving with it but can use it for backing up and it is a huge help there.

My pawpaw had a steering wheel knob on his old Econoline van and every big truck he ever owned. They do help time. Instead of just using your palm to turn the steering wheel, you can actually get a good grip, and it won't slip out of your hand. You don't put it on the top center of the steering wheel. You put it on the side of your steering wheel.

I had a speed knob on an Oldsmobile. It was a 1965 Delta 88 with a steering wheel the size of a small county. I'd guess it was around 18" diameter or so. The knob I had was more like a 'regular knob' in shape, but other than that was very similar. You could indeed spin the wheel very quickly, but it was dangerous as all get out. Lasted about 3 hours before I removed it.

That steering wheel grip actually does work. I know a lady who lost a hand in an accident and had this installed. She said it's the best thing ever as she can now drive down to visit family 800 miles away without ending up with serious pain in her remaining hand/wrist. It wasn't an over priced handicap mod and she can have it removed and put into any car she drives. But she uses a piece of thin hardened foam around the spot on the steering wheel where it's installed so it grips better and doesn't damage the steering wheel. But other than that, it's a winner. So for her, I'll give it 5 starts. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

No, it works pretty well actually! You plug it in and leave it plugged over night. Then during the morning it has drained your battery and you can't drive your car (unless you hack it with jumper cables, but that's against the product rules!) and booom! You just saved gas for that day at least :D

I added about 200 kg of gas reduction items, attached all over the place inside the engine, on most pipes and in the car, with electronics, magnets, lights and so on, but in the end still no reduction of gas consumption and no increase in engine power or any good benefit. Thinking I should buy more, maybe the synergy will pile up eventually.

The cup holder bounces around too much; looks like a mess in the making. I'd like to see the fuel saver thingy opened up to see what's in it. I'm thinking it's just an LED light. The real standout is the fart diffuser seat cover. That's a great concept. Just run the little fan to keep the fumes moving away. THE URINAL could be much better with just one extra part - and a little work. Rather than a bottle, just attach a small piece of hose. Drill a hole in floor just large enough for hose to extend through. No bottle of urine to deal with later!

Over the door cupholders and spinner knobs for steering a wheels I feel like used to be way more common and useable on old cars. My 88 Ford Ranger came with both and used them all the time. Also have a McDonald's over the door fry and cup holder.

The AC chair is a godsend. Living in South Florida, the weather is always humid and summers are hot and swampy. The AC seat cover makes it so that you can actually drive for a reasonable time and not have completely soaked pants from sweat 🙏
