I'm so glad these videos are being made. Only this way will Russian command know they are alive. I don't think the command would take action without loved ones demanding their soldiers need to be rescued. These interviews are evidence the soldiers are alive, and their command must spend the effort to rescue them.

They have spoken about it, i'm pretty sure Ukraine is the one who decides if they do trade them even if they want to stay, I'm guessing not everyone is allowed to stay in Ukraine. I'm guessing, low value soldiers are probably not seen as a good value to allow to stay. No one has infinite cash.

I asume its not part of the Russian standard soldier gear, considering they even get socks. Many have of them seem to have bought their own equipment, but since their mobilization rules have changed and now is just throwing them directly inside a bus or a train and drive them towards the front, with no warning, they get little chance of doing so.

-1.75 aint fucking nothing but he can still see pretty well without classes if you dont need to read something over 40m away, it affect but doesnt made things impossible. I have seen people having more than -3 - (-6)

If he couldn't read the jacket tag 2m away, his eyesight is much poorer than they tested it at, unless they use a very different scale. I suspect there was some medical creativity involved in fulfilling the meat quota from his city. Any halfway decent optics are adjustable between -3 & +3, or even -6/+6! So someone could be a sniper, but not use iron sights, which may explain the other guy referred to by Dmitry.

Not a fan of the robotic voice-over. I prefer just the English subtitles. Otherwise, I can't hear the emotions in their voices, the intonation, etc. In short - i prefer just the subtitles.

I dont know but I imagine the russian orc soldiers that get exchanged simply go back to the front, but the living conditions in Ukrainian POW camp's is better than being around other orc's so why are they in such a hurry to go back ? I understand that Ukrainian military wants to exchange orc's for their Heroes and orc's shouldn't have a choice so why do they have to get their orc name on some list ? If I was a orc I would keep my mouth shut and try to stay put till the orc federation gives up 🤷♂️

I've also been wondering, why the Russians want to get exchanged as soon as possible. Ok I get that they miss their families, but it also shows their overall complete lack of understanding, that they'll be send back to the frontline by Putin. The only one, who did the right thing is that helicopter pilot, who got his family out of Russia with the help of Ukrainian intelligence early on. As Russian POW I'd also shut my mouth and try to stay in Ukrainian captivity, possibly til the whole war is over.

Personally I don't think it's staged, but the AI generated translation is awful, and I can understand how it seems that way. The original videos with subtitles are much better because you can hear the tone of the conversation even if you don't understand it. Also the original videos are longer, these ones are edited.

@@waynehelsel3949 I watched one recently where Vova was interviewing a Yakut, who didn't really understand Russian. Usually, Vova speaks very fast, and that didn't change unfortunately. That was the worst, I think. Every time Dima talks about the bio animals, and we don't know if the pows get that he's just joking. Those are the best. Yours?
