@@irvvalenzuen3135 Ukraine winning wasn't completely out of the question, if the sanctions were more effective and ukraine didn't stop after their kharkiv and kherson counter offensive, there was a real possibility of a Ukrainian victory, but they decided to play the long game and wait for western equipment, this gave time for Russia to fix their military and dig in

The West didn't have neither military nor industrial capability to win this war, even from the onset. Already on March 1st 2022 it was obvious to me that Russia had won this war, however it evolves. The professional leaders of the Russian Federation had beforehand made sure that they would win. The Western henhouse knows nothing and can achieve nothing. In their lifetimes, none of them ever did. The people I know are questioning why so many Ukrainian men refuse to go fight Russia if winning.... the failed summer offensive woke people up......

Anyone with half a brain knew Ukraine were never going to win this war. I'm from Ireland and every person I've spoke to about this war knows the Russians have taken the gloves off now. We just blame Boris Johnson for ruining any peace plan that was being set up.

I agree. The reason armor isn't used that much is because it drastically increases the cost of each soldier. If defense companies can find ways to reduce those costs, we could see the return of Hoplite armor.

@@kaznika6584 The armour costs much less than the payments made to the families of dead soldiers. I think that the issue has just to do with the design and manufacturing of a whole new type of garnment .... We'likely see something new on the battlefield by the end of this year...

Increadibly, there are reports that something like 1,000 civilians stayed in Avdiivka as it was overrun! Mostly elderly who are made out of the REALLY stubbornly tough stuff. In the Western world there exists nothing like it.

There is already a negotiated peace agreement, Minsk 2. But guarantors Merkel and Hollande and signator Porosjenko have all confessed that they never even intended to honor that treaty, but only used it to fool the Russians and win time to arm Ukraine ahead of this planned war against Russia! The West has broken ALL international laws and agreements. They never apply any kind of principle, but only ruthless lawless total war-terror as it fits their interests at the moment. So no kind of negotiation is possible with any western leader ever again. Everyone knows that they will break any treaty they fake to agree upon. Look up "appeasement" and the Munich conference of 1938 for an explanation for why there never were any attempts to negotiate a peace treaty with Germany during WW2. Germany promised that it had no further territorial demands, after having gotten the border regions of Czechoslovakia. UK PM Neville Chamberlain on the airport, arrived from Munich 1938: "- I hold in my hand, the paper that guarantees peace in our time!" Well...

Appeasement in the case of the Munich conference and the Minsk agreements were only intended to buy time to allow for military capacity development. Although Biden promised at the beginning of this conflict that the US will fight to the last Ukrainian. He’s keeping that promise.
