Not only does he probably have work himself that he has to do- maybe even a night shift since he looks proper dressed when meeting him- but his situation could also demand his presence elsewhere. Maybe he has a baby himself to look out for at the drop of a hat, or a sick spouse, or any number of priorities that take precedence over joining your neighbor for a late night wash. He probably would have offered to go with her if he could. We shouldn't be so quick to judge people, especially in horror where things are set up deliberately to make things scarier.

Then hid the woman in a room. the mother managed to call for help while holding her stomach since her insides were half out. I think the baby died but the mother lived. The sick thing is the woman’s boyfriend came home and the woman lied and said she had just given birth but something went wrong and they went to the hospital and lied to the hospital that she had just given birth. The police came to house and rescued the mother and in the end I think they got reunited and the woman was arrested but boyfriend were released when they realised he knew nothing of it. The woman had just lost her own child I think and that’s why she lured pregnant woman to her place to get their baby

This sort of situation happens way to often sadly. Not long ago in my city the same thing happened, the mom was murdered and the baby ripped out of the womb, it lives and is with the mom's father (the baby's grandpa). It almost made national headlines, but I think it didn't only because she was native American and it's a fucking shame that stuff like this happens to them even today by white people.
