Amazing documentary from Al Jazeera.. looking forward to more documentary… Well presented by the actor… I have done also lots of research on secret societies it’s a huge labyrinth… even in country they are present .. their symbols which represent them can be seen clearly but like we know most people aren’t not bothered or busy too much to really understand about secret societies and there purpose but one we know that they control many things that happened in your country they are Elite group of individuals that have huge influence in politics in finance and business world .

Secret society have always existed since there were alot of persecutions in the past. People had to think alike and if you deviated, it was tantamount to death sentence. So people who had different religious, political and social opinions tended to form secret groups. These societies continue to exist even today whether for a good or bad ideal.

I'm an ex-initiate (I left of my own free will) of Aleister Crowley's Ordo Templi Orientis (he didn't start the OTO but he radically changed it to propagate his philosophy of Thelema when he took over as its leader). Coming from that background it's amusing to me a news channel would turn to someone as discredited as Icke (who is very much a cult leader himself) for their chosen "specialist" in secret societies rather than you know... an independent unbiased scholar who has a PHD that specializes in secret societies, new religious movements, cults, religious history, gangs etc. Icke being the centrepiece had to have been a conscious choice on the part of the Al Jazeera Decoded team who produced this video. He's not someone you just stumble upon and I also imagine getting Icke to speak is probably more expensive than getting a professor to speak. What was the motivation behind the Al Jazeera team's choice? I personally don't know but it's for sure fishy. As an ex-cult member who has spent more than 15 years studying secret societies, esotericism, philosophy etc and 5 years studying the psychology behind why I and others are attracted to such things the glaring issues with this short "documentary" stick out to me. This isn't as important compared to what I want to get into but ask yourself: what is the difference between a secret society and a society with secrets? Is a government a secret society? When is secrecy necessary or beneficial? Is a news agency run by a government which is run by a monarchy a secret society? Just somethings worth considering. Please note these questions are for personal reflection. I'm not implying anything merely prepping the state of mind for the kind of stuff I want to talk about in the next paragraphs. As this is an Islamic channel I'll use the example of the Sufi Tradition which is a much respected Mystery School by many both inside and outside of Islam. Al Jazeera's website has many articles with glowing appreciation for Sufi teachings including: "Fanaticism’s antidote: ‘The Sufis’" and yet they're a Mystery School, an esoteric tradition which teaches of "secrets" that humanity generally ignores and so fell upon a tradition which handed these "secrets" down through the generations. Secret teachings which help point the way, not give absolute answers. However as most of you likely know there's not just one "Sufism" but instead many different schools of thought, some more controversial than others. This is true of almost all incarnations of Mystery Schools. There are good Masonic Lodges and bad ones, there are good Sufi schools and bad ones, there are good Rosicrucian Orders and bad ones, there are good Daoist schools and bad ones etc etc. The narrator says they got lost in all the mystery but that's sort of the point behind Mystery Schools. We all feel lost in this world and we all feel lost (if we're honest about ourselves) when we start to ask "the big questions" like: what is the meaning of life, the nature of divinity, the nature of consciousness, the nature of mortality, the nature of religion, the nature of ethics and so on. When one is lost they seek to ground themselves and find landmarks which can show them at least which direction to walk towards. A healthy Mystery School, a healthy secret society, is not hoarding secrets they want to keep from the public but instead they're preserving wisdom which can be called upon by those who feel lost. There are many unhealthy Mystery Schools, I was in one of them for 10 years of my life, the Ordo Templi Orientis. It had positive elements but ultimately was a cult and something I left behind. Regardless it did possess some semblance of passed down wisdom which helped me quite a lot in my life. This sort of wisdom isn't secret because of a mass conspiracy to hide it from the masses. Three of the biggest reasons for the secrecy of Mystery Schools are: 1: Humanity for the most part doesn't bother itself with "the big questions" and so those who do bother to study these questions become outsiders to mainstream society. Humanity itself pushes these thoughts away, making them secret. Lineages of Wisdom Traditions maintain and pass on through the generations teachings which can not necessarily directly answer these big questions (they're too sublime to answer like one would a math question) but can show the Seeker (usually through symbolism, allegory, preserved culture, techniques of meditation/prayer etc) which direction they might best walk towards. No True Mystery School holds "the ultimate answer" to these big questions they merely have ways of helping others learn to experience for themselves glimpses. Once they have glimpses they have begun to walk their own Path. To ask what is the truth of Divinity, life after death, the meaning of existence and so on is to ask for the sublime, the Holy, and that which is Holy can only be experienced, not shown. 2: Mystery Schools throughout history have been persecuted by the exoteric powers of their day. Sufism was targeted by many extremist groups for example. Freemasons were targeted by the Catholic Church for similar reasons. Lies and misunderstandings about these Mystery Schools proliferate so easily among the public who know so little about them or why they exist that true conspiracies are undertaken to convince the public that these Mystery Traditions are evil and out to destroy the world... meanwhile these powers steal from their own people and commit countless crimes both against the law and against the spirit. Those I know in many different Mystery Schools whether Masonic or otherwise greatly admire Sufism and cherish the fact during The Golden Age not only did Islamic scholars preserve so much that the Catholic Church attempted to destroy like the writings of Ancient Greek philosophers but expanded upon much of what they collected to a marvellous degree! We have the Islamic world to thank for giving the world gifts like algebra and alchemy which as it developed gave the world chemistry. Islamic philosophy from the minds of al-Kindi, Al-Farabi and Avicenna all went on to bring back light to the Western world when it was in its darkest. In return the powers of the exoteric, not the esoteric, invaded Islamic lands. In the Order I was part of the initiations were based of Memphis Misraim Freemasonry and the rites include stories about Knights Templar who were captured by Saladin, his Guard and his Wazir and Emir and there was an exchange of knowledge and respect. It's suspected by many that the Templars were indeed put to death by the Catholic Church for befriending their Islamic brothers and sisters instead of fighting them and that even the word Baphomet might really be a mistranslation of Mahomet, Muhammad, but no one really knows for sure. What we do know is that when the Freemasons started they claimed to, if not in fact then in myth, be a revival of the Templars but no longer subservient to the Catholic Church: instead (as the Sufis) welcoming those from all faiths to learn from them and share Wisdom, Fraternity, Peace and Equality. 3: We as humans naturally keep secret that which is most intimate to us. Our connection to Divinity, our Love for God. I speak not of my most spiritual moments because they are sacred to me. I speak not of my most intimate moments with my wife for she is sacred to me. Secrecy is Sacred. I'll say no more.

Well done, these questions need to be asked. But I respectfully submit that any group can become corrupt when people in that group become corrupt.

If it has to be secret, if it has to be done in private, the only ones who benefit are those there and their families. What's done in the dark shall be brought to the light. This is a portion of our "trickle disclosure."
