Prost gets so downplayed simply because he had to fight Senna. The truth of the matter, Prost, with a little twist of fate, could have been a 7 times champion by 1993. The guy is truly someone on the level of Fangio, Schumacher and Hamilton.

Every great champion has to face the next in line for the throne, Michael had to fight off Kimi and Alonso, Kimi and Alonso had to fight Lewis then Seb, and now Lewis has to fight Max. I am surprised by the real insights from Jacque. Hamilton has the habit of pacing himself through the duration of entire championship fights. Rosberg kind of predicted this too in his Brazil track guide. He based it on his own experience. Because in 2005, Schumacher wasn't even fighting for the championship, it was Kimi vs Alonso, if you are to say ala Max and Lewis now, it should be in 2006, but at that time Alonso was already the defending champion. TBH, 2021 is the closest championship battle ever in the new millennium, i mean, they are tied on points with just one race remaining! Whoever wins will win the greatest ever World Championship battle in the history of F1, Lewis and Max have been head and shoulders above everyone else this season.

Well Max fought really hard but Lewis and Merc are on other level since Brazil. The strength of Merc is not just the massive talent pool of Lewis and Valtteri but also a very gifted mechanical team. With the fastest car and the most successful driver in f1 history, Merc is clear title fav. Thank you to Lewis and Max for giving us a nail-biter till the end. May the best man win

I'm curious how much (if any) impact the effort both Merc and RB have been making to the very end will impact development on next year's car? Surely this title fight has either stretched them thin, because I can't see building a dominant new car while maintaining a bullet this year!
@andreizegheru5842

Villeneuve is exactly right. Max was outstanding the whole season, but because of luck he didn't keep his lead when the RB was faster. Since the mid season Mercedes was clearly faster and now the whole thing is a bit out of his hands. Hopefully he can pull a miracle and extract everything out of that RB in the final race. And also I hope the win will be clean, no matter who is the winner
