Once he opened up and began trying to trade, Crawford began to use his ability to counter and pick his spots. Crawford was dead in the water. Gamboa was a beast at featherweight but he didn't do anything noteworthy at lightweight. He's a textbook example of a fighter who lost the edge that made him great by moving up (and inactivity). Crawford is turning 33 soon and the fact that a former featherweight from 6 years ago remains his most accomplished opponent doesn't saying much about the depth of his resume.
