I'm not sure brother. I'm trying to learn the song and the guitar groove that he loops is a very quick and groovy lick. I respect the work that goes into being a musician, it takes many hours to learn to play and sing a song plus playing live is very intimidating if you've never done it. In front of people and a camera is a whole different challenge.

Great job! I noticed your using the akai mpk. How do you like it for looping? I was thinking of getting one mostly for the pads to loop some basic drums. Also I play a half step down so is there a way to adjust keys to my tuning?

Thanks Bridget! My computer is just there to record through ableton, but I just bought a zoom recorder so now I use that instead of lugging around my laptop... The thing on the left is an Akai NPC Mini Play. Just a small keyboard & sample pads with pre loaded sounds on it. Works awesome for adding things into loops!!

Most looping performers take WAY too long to get the song started. And why on earth do you do all that work, tap dance on pedals, and keep the audience waiting for you to lay down backing loops only to turn them all off when the solo comes?

The looping and performance is really excellent obviously. the acoustic guitar sound is awful. Not sure what your signal chain has going on but I guarantee you can get a better sound from a Taylor than that. It sounds like a horrible piezo from the 1990s.

I've since then upgraded to a martin with Fishman pick ups... this taylor is an older model before they moved to the es2 & the pickup in it is garbage.
