You know, this comment blew my mind. When you actually think about it, what if first man, or like early man created a supernatural force to believe in so he could have faith in all that is happening in the world. Maybe they needed strength, or to feel they were part of something. I mean, every religion does that. Man on the other hands, needs salvation, and hence is trying their best to touch God, similar to the story of the woman who was healed by just touching Jesus. There are so many Christians in these comments being very narrow-minded about the second interpretation, as if the very idea and thought exercise is harmful in some way. It's refreshing to see someone who is secure enough in their faith to explore the idea. I agree with you, both interpretations can be true at the same time, a kind of symbiotic relationship between God and humanity. The point of presenting two different readings isn't to disprove one or the other, but rather to show that each view can reveal different ideas.

When the universe was created there were an equal amount of matter and anti matter, they were formed in pairs. Matter and anti matter when together annihilate each other to leave only the purest of energy. If that was the case our universe would have been just energy. But every one in billion chances matter would survive the annilation and that matter is what that made our current universe. We seen bodies made of matter but not anti matter. The amount of anti matter is very low compared to matter in our universe. If everything was truly stable, nothing would've existed.

The word carried connotations of something being untrue or at the very least and exaggeration of truth but I don't think the base word actually means that. Mythology without those connotations simply refers to the shared religious storyline of a culture or multiple cultures.
