I found that most of the Nether portals dropped me off in inhospitable places with no roads, so just ended up going in the overworld instead. Eventually I found an interesting side path and went along it, seeing a lot of abandoned but not useful structures on the side of the road. As I went on it became more and more well-kept, and eventually I stumpled upon a fully functioning lemon farm, harvested some lemons, then replanted some! I kept going, and after only a couple more kilometers, I even found someplace with (mostly partially harvested) trees. I'm still not done going along this route, but so far, I think it has been a better experience than trying to go through the Nether. The server was a lot more hospitable than I expected, without using hacks too. After only a couple of hours, the server restarted, which is a shame, because it took me a lot longer than that to get in in the first place.

You made this sound like a forced school project that you never wanted to make 😂

Assuming you manage to get out of spawn, exploring 2b2t is like discovering a new continent and all its inhabitants have vanished. Leaving behind the structures they built. Makes you wonder what the stories behind some of these structures are. How old are they? Was this the dedication of one person or a group of friends who no longer see each other?

fun fact : theres an entire highway going 33k-ish out from spawn that’s absolutely lined with melons. if you can get to it without dying its great to go to the end of and collect melons along the way. put a stack or. two in an e chest if you see one along the way, if you die you’ll still have some melons to get out of one of the millions of e chests scattered around spawn

I had that portal trap happen to me and a friggin clan walked by, the last person stopped, let me out, and as soon as i walked out they beat my ass down. 2B2T in a nutshell.

When I joined I went into a nether portal and then 4 people with full enchanted diamond armor approached me and gave me an axe and a pickaxe and I was told to build a road. Idk but I just started mining a giant railroad in the wall and i was sold into slavery. I’m trapped here to this day and should I log back on?

Quick tip to escape portal traps: You can interact with blocks close enough to you while in freecam. Freecam out of the portal and break the obsidian. Alternatively, some hack clients have a mod to enable chat in portals.

Misconception with obsidian, you can actually break obsidian with your bare hands but it takes like 4 minutes. In your situation you probably should have broken the block

im playing on a hardcore anarchy server i made some streams and yeah the way you described it once you get out there is pretty accurate besides the tiny nagging stress in the back of your head that someone will find your base and grief it some my streams are unlisted tho because of annoying chat and the fact my content is made for younger people

id recommend going to the obsidian roof at 0,0 and trying to snipe a shulker of stuff off somebody. i did that and traded some stuff and got max everything and some totems in like 3 hours

Yeah, I got trapped in a nether portal trap. I ended up getting out because some noob fell into the same trap and killed me, thinking I set it.

I’m still waiting in queue... Update 01/13/21: I lagged out of queue; I went from 539 to 936 Update 01/14/21: I waited 6 hours and now I’m 135 in queue Update 01/15/21: After 8 hours, I have finally joined the Oldest Anarchy Server in Minecraft

Tip: Don’t put your bases in the mountains or on the land, do it way up in the sky

i waited in the 2b2t queue for around 5 hours just sitting there and watching youtube, then when i finally joined, i got disconnected and had to go back in the queue , safe to say im never trying to join 2b2t again

One thing I'd recommend for new players on 2b2t: Don't go in any nether portals around 100 blocks out. They have the highest chance of being trapped.

That's the appeal of 2b2t, is the exploration, and finding what people have managed to build

Just a heads up, people can use terrain finders and easily gain coordinates to your base and grief you. So be careful

You should check out the history of this server and the events. Then it becomes appealing.

I didn't use portals my first time and walks out to 50k. Next time I tried a portal at 5k out and seemed to have worked well to get me out on the highway. I would probably avoid portals until about 5k. Going in portals closer than that is really risky.

Well I already knew that the queue is long and I'm not buying the priority until I get in and play if I like it I will buy it
