But lots of people thought he wasn't good enough because Ohio State lost to Oregon and twice to Michigan. Give McCord credit - he only has half a season under his belt and already has two wins against top 10 opponents.

No. I could just as easily point out that Nabors had to share touches with the nation's TD leader and everyone else - including JD's 1,100 yards on the ground and STILL put up better numbers than a guy who had the entire offense run through him. I'm not saying that MHJr isn't a great receiver, just that Nabors was more deserving of the award based on this year's performance, which is what the award is supposed to be about - not name recognition or getting robbed the previous season.
