Its not a warp drive, well in some sense a lil. But yes flying saucers pull themselves through space instead of pushing, so yeah thats why there are no Gs inside the craft since its inside its own bubble of gravitational field. Technically a warp drive is more complicated where it does that but it completely bends space infront of it and shrinks it down, which is why in theory it looks like the ship or craft looks like its being stretched tf out while it drives through the warped space/time in front of it.
