Thank you for the helpful tip! Last year i dug up, I would guess, probably about 10 peony's, and the roots on them were massive. like as thick as my arm. I gave them to a couple of my friends. I will do what you said, and see how it does this year. If no flowers, then I will dig up and replace closer to the soil line. Thank you

The hydrangeas always seem to get snacked on by the deer. I hope this year, they will have more blooms.... I really need to figure out the fence situation, once I finish my greenhouse. Tonight I was looking and talking to family about the idea of just totally rebuilding the roof. The wood that we were planning to attach the new plastic to, it has rot in a lot of it... Might just make a whole new roof structure. The projects never end! Trillium is a really interesting flower. It might do well for you, since you get a lot of snow. I can't wait to follow along with your garden as summer comes closer and closer. :)
