That money should go to the victim, every time. Government shouldn't have an incentive to look for crimes that don't exist (tickets, fines, promotions, etc).

Not saying this was the case for her but do we really know? Even in the US some homeless people commit crimes to get arrested simply to have a roof over their heads. Get let out, live on the streets and recycle it all. So that's what came to my mind honestly.

Dude I'm mind-blown because I actually knew the victim from story 1 and her sister! I knew them when they lived in North Carolina though. When the picture came up of the victim I was like "huh, she looks familiar", and then Mike said "they moved from NC to IN" and I was like "that's weird"... then the clip of her sister being interviewed by the news came on and I was like "okay wtf I actually know them!". I'd seen the bodycam footage of her killer answering the door and saying "I shot her" before, but I'd never seen a picture of the victim or the interview with her sister before so I had no idea. Sorry I'm rambling, I just never expected to see people I actually know in a true crime video on UKposts. So crazy!
