Calcifer (the fire) was voiced by Billy Crystal, best known from When Harry Met Sally as the titular character, the Princess Bride as Miracle Max, and Monsters Inc. as Mike Wazowski. Personally I think Calcifer sounds a lot like Mike in this scene.
