From an Ajax supporter: Financially speaking, Ajax is the strongest, second PSV and Feyenoord third. PSV are having a historical season with just one loss so far, they are far above the rest. The second place of Feyenoord is therefore a solid performance. Feyenoord have a very enjoyable style of play under Slot, for instance, Van Basten likes them more than PSV. Feyenoord have been showing dominant play in Europe against the likes of Atletico Madrid and Lazio. Everybody in The Netherlands agrees that Slot is world class.

He's involved in all the good signings in players, not sure if he's also have the framework for coach selection. Klopp and Liverpool staff made load of mistakes in transfer after Edwards left that's for sure, that includes the signing of Nunez and Diaz, especially they splashed all the cash to sign Nunez while lot of defenders were injured during that time still beyond me.

@@reincarnate3440 The fact that Klopp and his friend Jorg fiddled around until the end of the season to grt a quality DM absolutely boils me. We got lucky Endo performed well but he's no title winning calibre DM. Look how Edu and Arteta got Rice vs how Jorg and Klopp handled the Lavia saga and you can clearly see why bringing Michael Edwards back was the best thing FSG could do! He would never waste unnecessary 45m on Gravenberch when we have Curtis, Elliot, Macca, Szobo for those spots. It would have been much better spent on getting a world class DM, Palinha for example was available for 80m.

Trust me, from a Feyenoord fan, Arne Slot is a great great great manager. Ever since he stepped in at Feyenoord, everything changed. We won the title, the cup and reached the conference league final. This year we had to go trough in the CL, performing really well against Atletico Madrid twice but at the end we miss big players that can finish a game, like Griezman. And let’s not forgot, he did all that with the smallest budget from the top 3 (Ajax, PSV) in the Netherlands. Every Feyenoord fan, and even every football fan in the Netherlands is going to miss him! 😢

@@GarethWilliams-fr4un As another Feyenoord fan with a love for Liverpool i can say i'm excited. Ofcourse his experience is in a relative small competition. But I think he can. I can imagine people will compare him with Ten Hag. Both from the netherlands. And experience wise they are equal. The big difference is: Arne slot is a communication king. He is always correct and well spoken. Besides that I have seen him made tactical changes during a match quickly and perfect. He is into details and I really think this is a match made in heaven. He is not a Klopp or Alonso by name.. At Feyenoord he made small chages to the main tactics based on the material of players. I will miss him at Feyenoord leaving a big hole. But A nice future for Liverpool and Arne is coming!

The difference between ETH and Arne Slot is that ETH performed well with a very talented team (de Jong, Tadic, de Ligt etc). Arne Slot has the skills to make teams very good, even when players are not the biggest talents. I’m sure when he will manage Liverpool it will be a success and I’m sad to see him leave at Feyenoord. Best coach we had in years.

Possibly but far from surely, they were second in the league to Ajax when the season stopped(second place still impressive though with a small team like AZ). And Louis van Gaal also won the league with AZ, also did not work out in the PL

@@vizuzthey were 2nd on goal difference, and had much the easier run in, in terms of fixtures, as Ajax still had the likes of willem II and feyenoord away to play before the end of the season. Alkmaar also defeated Ajax 2-0 3 weeks before the season was cancelled due to covid. They were by far the in form side with 9 easier games remaining. Context matters.

I don’t think there is a manager right now available who would be ‘the right man for the job’ because klopp is a very tough act to follow. I’m just saying I’m pretty sure there isn’t a single Liverpool fan getting carried away with this expecting Arne Slot to be the answer to our prayers, half the fans wouldn’t have heard of him. But that’s fine, let’s see what he can do with the players

From what I have gathered, Amorim wanted total control of transfers and Edwards is not the kind of guy to allow that straight away. I've also heard that the plane into London was chartered by West Ham. Slot is very similar to Klopp in many ways and the squad that he inherits will suit his playing style so it reduces the need to place square pegs in round holes, whilst he will probably be given a decent budget to bring in fresh faces. Liverpool F.C are in very good hands.

Yeah no doubt. You know why? Every time Feyenoord was under pressure he made a small tactical change that made Feyenoord the better team. If you'd want a better view. Watch the games of the UCL groupstages against lazio and atletico, both where lost. But we desevered the win.

Comparing ten Hag with Slot is ridiculous because ten Hag had already a great team when he came to Ajax and Slot started with a bad team and not a lot money to buy players but he still managed to buy low budget players and make them play beautiful football and won two prices with hem and a european final. Believe me Slot is your man Liverpool fans!

If he got what it takes to prove himself in Premier League and give his everything to the club we all love so much, great! As a feyenoord fan, i think its logic that a lot of people in england are a bit sceptic over this, but what slot has done at feyenoord was in many peoples eyes impossible, but the way he didnt just turn the team around, but the whole vision of the club, was just for us feyenoord fans almost unbelieveble because he made rotterdam so freaking proud again. I honastly think that liverpool fans can be very happy with what is hopefully a new dutch top manager

Why Arne? Just look where my beautiful club was before he came to Feyenoord. No money, no prices. Struggeling to get 5th. The last 3 years he developt the team, earnt big money for a dutch club that is not Ajax or Psv. Now Feyenoord is playing very good. He was the man our club needed in rough times cuz he made the future bright in only 3 years

This is fantastic news.Been watching Feyernood play in the league and CL the play aggressive football always pressing love this. My worry some players at LFC are not good enough. My team Ali, Brad, Suurs, Virgil,Robbo, Mac, Endo, Dom, Jota, Santi. Lucho Bench Kelleher, Gomez, , Quansah, Kostas, Gravenberch, Gapko, Arnie, Elliott, Jones, Dannis, Nunez.

His record is exceptional considering the players had had to work with. ETH had much better players because of smart sales by Mark Overmars and his team at Ajax. When Ajax sold (as usual) all there players to teams owned by very rich people and Mark and his team left Ajax was in decline and had to find its way up. Arne arrived a an middleweight team but made them a semi heavyweight. Not yet at the top but I’m sure he can with the rich people behind him and better players than we can pay in the Netherlands. PL has a lot to do with foreigners investment than with UK traditional soccer. So it would be nice to realize that for the UK commentators and journalists.

The guy needs Time to implement his style of play, klopp is going to be hard to replace. They can still be challenging each year if they keep some important players and recruit well. Most think klopp announcing he was leaving is why there has been such a drop off. Personally the team hasn’t been as good since mane Fabinho firmino left, holding on to those players for another season or two would have won another epl.

I understand and share your doubt. The Dutch competition has fallen somewhat behind in the last few years. Still, you never know, but he wouldn't be my choice either, especially because he was not able to beat Ten Hag in the Dutch competition.

Can’t guarantee that he bring the Champions League or the PL to Liverpool, but for sure the football will be very attractive, lots of energy and tactic skills, develope players to their max, communicate (English speaking) opposite like van Gaal or ten Hag.

I think he will take Hancko with him to Liverpool. Very good defender. Fast and strong. Slot is the best trainer of Feyenoord since Ernst Happel. He thinks about every detail, is very eloquent and can convey everything very well to the players. Top coach.

I would say that Arne Slot's record at Feyenoord is exceptional. It's not the same as Ten Hag's at Ajax, but Feyenoord is not Ajax. I would be very happy if he came to Liverpool.

What Slot achieved with the available material and budget is much better comparable with Ten Hag and Klopp had at their clubs before joining the uk club. But even at Feyenoord at the very beginning it was not clear but the guy has proven himself that he is able to create a monter team!

Why can't my team just get Jose Mourinho ? The man is the only manager available who can handle big pressure situations. Slot for me is unknown, ten hag was doing brilliantly in that league but came to epl and got humbled. I see the same fate for this guy. Amorim and alonso pulled out because they know the pressure could sink them.

Honestly, i want to see a huge change of tactics & formation instead of searching a similar style & formation 😢 because we can see some of our player playing in wrong position, doesn't really see they real potential yet, especially Szobo . You see His performance at Leipzig compare to now is a huge backwards . Long shoot gone, shoot accuracy gone, confident gone😢
