A report from the United Nations determined that 1 million species are threatened with extinction. Dr. John Wiens from the University of Arizona believes that number is far higher based on his research. He says climate change is quickening the threat of extinction for species, including a 3-million-year-old lizard population previously found in the Arizona mountains.

Seems that even if you restructure washing machines to have easily removable filter containers to filter their laundry of microplastics, then turn around and toss that filter in a trash can 🤔

There are all up here, we have the largest lizards, they came to pay revrence to the largest lizard ever to live a hundred years, it was bigger than the biggest living aligator, it has camo tech like skin that blends into the back ground with perfect match and impeccible detail at each second and step, and when it died, it was just a fake death, it turned itself into a skeleton, there so many lizards surrounded to honor its magestic life. They may never return to Arizona, there they are still worshipping today.

If Gayle can't figure out why the loss of a 3 million year old species is significant (and the loss of 1 million more species), maybe she's not qualified to have such a large platform.

She obviously understands why it’s a bad thing, but many times, the host will ask a question that prompts the audience to gather additional information. For example, there’s going to be some lunatic out there who is going to watch this piece and say, “Well, what’s the big deal? Why should I care about this?” - with Gayle’s question, this gives David an opportunity to explain to the audience who might be thinking that, why they should be concerned and why this is significant.

Climate change has been happening for millions of years. We didn't have cars then so you can't blame it all on that these days.

We are in an interglacial. The climates supposed to change.

Yes (well there’s some debate as to of ours interglacial like you say or of it’s brief moment in a grave glacial period) and we’re as humans have studied it and see how it’s suppose to take place, this era of climate change is no where near the normal rate of change, not only that but we’ve discovered why and it is in fact us

@@RobertSaxy The most recent glacial period occurred between about 120,000 and 11,500 years ago. Since then, Earth has been in an interglacial period called the Holocene. Glacial periods are colder, dustier, and generally drier than interglacial periods. www.ncei.noaa.gov › ...PDF Glacial-Interglacial Cycles - National Centers for Environmental Information
