There should be no cross platform for arena. It is so hard as a 60 fps console player to compete against 240 fps arena players that steal your wall first try. I think I speak for almost all average console players when I say there needs to be a console arena.

I think they should do ranked kind of like how rocket league does it. It’s kind of hard to rank up if you lose a few games, and at the start of the next season, they give you rewards for what rank you unlocked the previous season.

What’s pretty ironic is that if you look at any other game’s competitive side, people are making way less earnings than fortnite players. Fortnite competitive may be boring but you still make so much more money. I think the highest earnings I saw anyone have on any other game was under 300k to give some perspective

My thoughts on Arena fix: no elim points. It would thicken up the lobbies, give it a tournament feel and bad players like me would have a much harder time camping to get points. You would fight out of necessity rather than for points.

Here is an idea I have to improve the current arena system, that involves rewards. In Fortnite, they should add a new currency for Arena. With this currency, you can buy exclusive cosmetics like backblings that show your arena points, loading screen, wraps, etc. When FNCS starts, Champion's league players will be rewarded the FNCS skin EARLY because of their grind. They could have have certain time periods in the day where you can recive more currency for playing. I think they could add a Hub where you can team up with people, and maybe add a wager system. For this system, you can challenge the enemy/team to a wager for a certain amount of currency. They could have a whole ranking system for that, where you can rank up wagers that you win. If you get to the top 500 arena players in your region, you will be able to customize your own skin. It would be a little difficult, to prevent innapropriate things so here would be the steps. Once you reach the certain rank (Top 500), you submit a forum to epic with the outfit you would like to make for yourself. If they approve, it will be granted to you. Overall, this sounds a little confusing, but it would make Arena a very fun thing and something you would actually be excited to play instead of a boring battle royale with a few minor changes.

I quite literally get no joy in playing a ton of arena and instead if getting a new rank, I see a number go from 6 to 7

After champion league you could make people grind so every tier they get a free new tier skin and the skins change every season and it's extremely hard with sweats

I think that all of this is 100% true and is a great idea. The best incentive in my opinion is giving players an exclusive gun wrap for what rank they reached. For example, if Fortnite added in a "Bronze Champion" rank that you could achieve after hitting champs, you'd get a bronze season-specific gun wrap. Higher ranks would then get better wraps, like silver, gold, and whatever naming convention Epic would want to employ. Awesome video as always and hopefully this comes to fruition soon!

My duo and I are stuck at 4K in arena. Then again, we're almost 50 and suck. They need an over 40 arena.

I would agree with most of what he said, and I do think something needs to happen with arena, but I would say that a lot of my friends feel so happy and satisfied just by hitting maybe 6,000 points just to make champs, and they aren’t that skilled at the game. What I mean is that the thought that everyone wants a change and a more competitive part is wrong because there’s so many players that aren’t good and would not benefit from a change, and if fortnite wants casual players to continue playing, they can’t make it harder for them to play something they want to.

0:40 no i reckon if your in champs and lose points (so go lower than 6,000 points) you go down but if your in open or contenders league you shouldn't go down divisions 2. 1:45 i agree champs should have levels of stuff as it takes more grinding which makes it even easier to get in champs then now (btw im in Div 7)

You know what they could do. They could bring back the season shop from OG Fortnite Chapter 1 Season 1. So when you get into a certain division/rank, you unlock rewards that you buy/get for free. Could be good for sweaty plates and give the OG’s (like me) a bit of nostalgia

Is there monetary incentive for top arena players other than being allowed in tournaments? What if top 10 arena players for that season got like $1,000 each, 11-25 got $500, etc? Or even weekly or monthly monetary rewards so players aren’t discouraged by a gap in points in the middle of a season. Crazy idea - what if there was a “sister” arena mode, where there was a buy in for each game? Each player puts a dollar to play a game, then winner gets $25, 2-5 get $10, etc.

Maybe Epic could make another arena mode where they keep the arena points only for endgame, not allow as many placement points as now, balance/reduce elimination points, add a certain reward (like a cool skin, glider, pickaxe, etc) when player reach a certain milestone in that gamemode (like 50k pts or 100k and so on). Then they also keep the current arena mode so that people who do want to wkey can play it (good fighting practice), while the new arena mode is good endgame practice as people want to make it to endgame; again the prizes are only available if they reach 50k or whatever amount of points in that game mode so people will have something to grind for. What does everyone think?

Most Fortnite players aren't good enough to enjoy arena as it is right now. I think that it would be hard to have enough people reach that rank to fill a lobby. You're looking at 20 minute wait between games if you're a cracked player

To be honest I think each game should stick to what its good at. If you start implicated ranks you start separating players. But I do strongly believe there should be some sort of self revive perk or gulag... 1v1 box fight

They should honestly keep it how it is but add perks for winning games or getting high points. Like say for instance your win/loss ratio is like 3+ you get an xp boost, or maybe there champs and champs + where champs is normal tourneys and stuff and then champs+ is fncs and higher tier tourneys

i got bored of arena so quickly im nearly 30k points every game is like pubs back in chapter 1 i remember playing arena duos with 50 people left in like third zone now i usualy drop like 30 kills with my team every win. i solo clutched in trios and i ended up with 30kills by myself in the hype cup they need to make it so the lobbies are harder and more stacked.

I totally agree, I grind fortnite on two account because I love it. My fav. Game but I know if there was a system to show that grind by rankings, alot of people would grind fortnite again and not just play the events and checkout an update here or there.

Remove skill based matchmaking in pubs is a must have.. I'm just a casual dude with 2.5kd. With 300+ wins I get matched against people with 5.0+ kd and 1000+ wins.. Getting full boxed and triple quad edited on... Just remove skill based matchmaking in pubs.. Off course you wil get a sweat in your lobby but now in pubs it's a sweat fest non stop.. Fortnite forces the casual player to sweat aswell when people like me just wanna have fun at the game...but a new ranked system for arena I really like that idea.. Let's hope end of season 8 fortnite will do some big changes

I agree but I believe there should be more skin tournaments that are casual and if you are to high in arena or have too many wins you get placed with more sweaty people and if you are just trying to get the skin and you have 20 you won’t be facing ninja or benjifish you are facing people who play for fun.

They should take away bus fare and you should only lose points if you die 80th place and upwards so it would encourage people to stop fight off spawn so much and add higher points for placement and lower the kill points like tournaments

points should have influence on lobby, because now when you reach 4k points you go up against everyone above 4k including those with 100k points. It is more open then pubs with sbmm.
