It was a smart move to use old worn out blocks which must be good because if it wasn't it would be visible by then. BTW 5:50 Renault is the father of the Turbo engines, other teams laughed at them but not for long....BMW come later.

He forgot to mention that Mercedes invented all those goodies because they were given an early tip to start developing their F1 hybrid engine. Hence, they had 7 years to develop and improve their hybrids, while all other teams had just 4 years. It was basically chea....cough,cough.....ting. And federation allowed them to get away with it for most of the decade, producing the longest unregulated domination in the history of F1. Should have saved their money and hire a cheaper driver. He'd win the same number of titles.

Fun fact: Mercy engines were in the first season(s) so powerful that they could lap the entire field if they wanted to. But they decided to down tune their engine cuz they didn't want to get it banned.

In 2018 Ferrari arguably made the best engine and In 2019 they made a rocket ship on straights, but it turns out they were cheating, but FIA didn't release the details how they punished them. Probably it was "💰". At SPA they were constantly going 0.6s faster than Mercedes and after they got exposed they were nowhere Redbull and Mercedes.

@@ParhamAz Still the Ferrari dominace is laughable comparing to this hybrid Merc era as a whole. Almost every year the same. It's like with Fifa games - same sh*t, but different number :D The 2018 is the only excuse for people when other people complain that "F1 is dull and sterile", and even in 2018 the Ferrari was just incompetent and Mercs car was in overall better and the team was more compelling comparing to the Ferrari. 2019 it's laughable because the Ferrari could be turned up only for a short period, in the race pace the Mercs were better, and again Ferrari were incompetent.

@@Sheridantank duh i read your reply just to see if someone had a reason for this instrad i see your comment... The reason is the same as we used to have tv guides except its different now so youtube channels unlike tv doesn't have a set time for new uploads hence the notification if someone enjoys a channel which is more similar to a tv show than the majority of youtube. Some could say why would anyone scroll through comments just to reply to something they dont understand hmmm

Fun-fact on the older BMW engines; yeah they ran at 5.5 Bars of boost, producing over a thousand horsepower briefly at 1.5 litres in quali for ~25km. They were replaced and detuned for the race to 800 hp or so. Modern F1 cars run at 5.5 bars of boost AT ALL TIMES, and produces ~650 hp at 1.6 litres without MGU-K/H . But they use A THIRD of the fuel over a GP, and does over 2.000 km before being changed.
