I always thought that it was hilarious how the shark in Jaws 4 would be screaming and roaring because sharks don't have lungs and they don't have vocal chords. I'm not a wildlife expert and even I know that so watching the wildlife expert rip apart Jaws 4 in a critique would have been great fun. But I see Jaws 4 as a cheesy, ridiculous and over-the-top, horribly bad B-style movie and it's essentially, a fantasy movie. The sharks in all of the Jaws movies have been more movie monsters than animals. When you have great actors like Michael Caine openly admitting that the movie was terrible and that he only did it for the money, I would say that a roaring and screaming great white shark is the least of a movie's problems.

The very beginning of the Revenant bear scene wasn't included this clip but it actually starts with DeCaprio seeing some bear cubs nearby and then the next thing he knows the mother attacks him. I think that's why the expert was a little confused at first, he didn't see that part of the scene so he thought maybe the bear was attacking for food.

It makes me really happy to hear him speak about wolves and their perception in movies and video games. I am First Nations. Or the Canadian equivalent of Native American. My crest is a wolf, which is passed to children via the mother. We have lots of wolf related pictures and art and what not. It breaks my heart how much damage humanity has done to the wolf population due to these weird misconceptions and terrible representations of wolves in hollywood and the game industry and obviously the grossly dangerous hunting practices. Now, thankfully. Game of Thrones has kind of brought a positive light to wolves. Through the direwolves. Beautiful, fiercely loyal companions to the Starks.

One thing I'm surprised wasn't mentioned is how the idea of alpha wolves is often misrepresented. The alpha male and female in a pack is usually just the main breeding pair, and the other wolves are their family and children. The combative dominant hierarchy style wolf packs usually occur more often in places where non-related wolves are placed in an environment together and have to form a pack that way, such as in captivity or when different wolves are relocated to the same area. Both kinds can happen, but the combative hierarchy style pack is not nearly as universal as many movies make it out to be.

Listen: a bear is a freight train wrapped in a fuzzy exterior. A snake is a scared hungry neutral thing wrapped in a "scary" exterior. If a twenty pound python gets you and you've got the least amount of people needed to handle it (any snake bigger than your average little snake needs more than one person and have a minimum of people needed to handle them) then you're probably going to be fine, they're suffocating or crushing predators that don't get that big because their prey is small. A grizzly bear can kill a MOOSE. Which is the most terrifying herbivore there is. Bears are scary man.
@jakester455

I like the furry freight train analogy. An adult grizzly or brown bear could probably kill any land animal save for the big ones in Africa. Awhile back Rogan talked about grizzly versus male silverback gorilla… Who would win? There are a ton of really good videos that exhaustively cover this bizarre topic, and the more you look at it, the more it becomes obvious that a gorilla has no chance against a grizzly. Grizzlies spend their lives fighting each other and tearing stuff to pieces while gorillas sit around a lot eating leaves and berries.

We always have movie fridays (my parents, siblings and me) and my sister knows I am a nerd for snakes so she chose that movie. But it backfired horribly because I went on an hour long ramble about snakes. We never see movies about reptiles since that day.

I was hoping you would give more scenes in Jaws! Looks like I should do one of these reviews for the use of fishing equipment compared to how sharks actually feed.

I met Forrest two months ago at SEWE here in Charleston, South Carolina. Absolute gem of a person, he took the time to ask me my name and shake my hand. He asked if I wanted a picture and talked to me about what I thought about his podcast with Rogan. Made my year

@@kkandsims4612 humans are actually alot worse then any animals for the most part, maybe except for dolphins and some certain chimp tribes. Other then that animals do not kill for no real reason. While humans frequently kill people for pleasure or no reason at all.

He is 100% correct about black bears being a bit more timid and less likely to attack. I've had two very close encounters with adult black bears and scared them off both times. I really like the Joe Rogan impression of black bears; "hey uhh what are you doing here? Am I gonna eat you? Are you gonna eat me?" When I scared the second bear, it seemed less afraid and more cooperative. Like it was less of a hassle to leave me be than it was to engage
