This is a cool machine. I had the original time ranger, but the screen was difficult to read for a near-sighted guy like me, so I had to eventually give it away. Still kept the four inch coil that was with it though. Works good on my tracker IV. The older Time Ranger and the Tracker are close enough in freq to allow for this.

Absolutely my favorite machine hands down!! The 5 inch coil is a killer!! I was amazed at some of the small targets that coil was able to pick up!! Awesome job Russ!!

I am trying out not a pro but a Land Ranger it does a lot more then Discovery and it uses 9 volt batteries is the old Land Ranger and Time Ranger pretty much the same?

Hello, make a detailed presentation about Time Ranger Pro settings, usage, depth, separation, tips and tricks. Is it good finding silver and hat about the use in wet sand and salt water? Also, is there any possibility to see that model in Greece? Thanks.

I’m not trying to be a troll but I don’t believe air tests are a good indicator of the performance of a metal detector. It’s a whole new ball game when you are playing in highly mineralised soil. Such as we have here in Australia. A true test of a metal detectors performance really has to be its ability to discriminate in a real world scenario. My Garrett pinpointer is capable of comparable performance in an air test. I’m not saying it isn’t a decent machine. But I would have to see it in a real world scenario, before I am going to go parting with my cash. I would like to see a test of it in a mineralized environment.

Hello gozzo68- You are correct, air tests are just a tool really and only a small part in measuring depth capabilities of a detector. Fortunately I have very mineralized soils in my yard and I have a test garden, with buried coins and such. I will do a video shortly. Thank you!

I would like to hear from you if the other fisher gold bug coils as: Fisher 6.5" Elliptical Search Coil for Gold Bug-2 / Fisher 10" Elliptical Search Coil for Gold Bug-2 / Fisher 14" Elliptical Search Coil for Gold Bug-2 or Fisher 5" X 10" Solid DD Search Coil work on Bounty Hunter time ranger pro and are they better than this Fisher 5" DD Search Coil, for finding small gold nuggets? I will be grateful if you reply me. Thank you in advance

Hello All the coils for the Fisher Goldbug will work. However, the coils for the GoldBug 2 will not. I prefer the small 5-inch coil for small gold nuggets.

I found a small led slug with mine its great but i cracked the coil still works 😉 found many $1 $2 coins very accurate i.d code found a 1944 .303 shell and vintage brass, a silver ring a 1945 half penny many other things, also about 10 1 cent coins, an alloy plate of a war plane, as its an old wwII site near home.

@@artdeltoro8448 you'll have to go with the Fisher 5 coil. The BH4 coil won't work with the Time Ranger Pro.

@@artdeltoro8448 you are 100% correct. Most Bounty Hunters have a plug in coil connector. However the Time Ranger Pro has a screw in connector like the Fisher F19.

I just got one after a 30 day back order/ WAIT. The one I received the S-Rrod canted the control Panel to the right and in front of the control Panel the rod was canted to the left then the 2 extension stem rods had problems too? Either the holes were drilled in wrong place or the pin was in the wrong place,....I say both. And just when you thought I was done? The center of the coil points to the left corner of the control Panel,...... And I have not turned it on yet. Bounty hunter want's me to send them a letter with picture's? You Know just like the E-Mail I sent them? And they want snail mail? I believe I would have had better luck with the Teknetics G2 or the Fisher F-19.

So Bounty Hunter sent me all 3 rods,... now it looks normal? So I air test it at full gain?????????? Quarter 86-87,......7 inchs????????? Gain @12 Oclock 4 1/2 Dime 82,.........8 inches????????? Time Ranger pro is Hype,.. I'd bet a gold bug go's way deeper. The 5 inch coil on the f5 was only a few inches deep if that. Don't be a sucker. Now imagine how I feel? I paid $399.00 For this Time Ranger Pro Toy? I have the gold bug pro coil coming I expect about 1-5 inches of depth from it? But it will probably detect gold if you rub it on the bottom. So far I had to wait weeks for parts the air test,.....well I'd bet a Eurotek Pro is cheaper and deeper. When I pay too much for something it makes me sick,.... same as buying something from China*** Now I know why people are buying Nokta's. And that's the TRUTH*** TOTALLY NOT WORTH $399.00
