Our Stickers! - maddyandzach.com/
We are Maddy and Zach, we bought a school bus to convert into a tiny house 3 years ago. Now, after 3 years of hard work, we are finally starting our adventure! This week is our first week in Colorado but our heater broke! So now it's time to survive the cold.
Help us move in! 🚌 If you can, thanks! If not, that's totally fine too!

See one of the things to me is great when you show us the way to go sleep. If you check the ones that have a lot of viewers show us when it is sleep time

Good job bro with the heat. You saved the day !

All heatpumps have an outside air temperature limit for heating, if the air is too cold, the performance goes down the drain. The manual says the operating ambient temperature for the Ecoflow Wave2 is between 41F - 122F. So you might be outside of that.

U guys should think maybe about putting in a tiny wood stove i heard they work amazing n it would be a second source of heat if the heater goes out at least u would have the wood stove . Safe Travels Always. God Bless Ya'll. Mucho Love from your friend in Michigan, Tam ❤❤❤❤❤

Good idea Tam! We have thought about this before but there has been multiple cases of house fires with those stoves so we decided to steer clear. Thanks for your support though, we appreciate it! 😊

You two are inspiring and your outlook is so positive. I lived in a travel trailer for a few years and I found that the little space heater is enough to keep you comfortable. Keep enjoying your life together and thank you for sharing your experiences with us.

Glad you guys got the heater working. Don’t know if you all watch van city vanlife. Chrome runs his heater on high for 5 minutes to burn all the build up out of the chamber. Even in the summer months. He hasn’t had a problem with his Lobosco heater
@maddyandzach
@maddyandzach Місяць тому
I have not seen that but unfortunately we don’t have that option on our hydronic heater. The burn chamber just needs to be replaced every once in a while ):

Like always it's so much fun following along with you guys. Using just a small space heater in your bus to keep you warm shows how well you guys insulated the bus, great job. Why are you guys not towing the car? Seems like it would be cheaper. Before you know you two will be pros at this stuff. Have fun, enjoy life...see ya next time.

Thanks! We just decided not to tow because it’s easier and we’re not too comfortable towing the car.

Yeah, diesel heaters don't work at elevation.

I thought the whole idea of having a house on wheels was moving far south in the winter. lol

Not for us haha we love snowboarding. The idea of having the bus is to go where we want when we want (:

There is an argument to be made for keeping the original auxiliary bus heaters, Well at least one of them. it could literally be a matter of life-or-death. Instead of doing the UKposts thing of removing all of the original bus stuff and Covering all the emergency exits... just thinking out loud 😊

I just had a brain fart and had to come back to your video to leave this comment. You are at a high elevation. You probably need to make some adjustment on your combustion air to your diesel heater. Yes it matters. Research that or ask your technical support people about it.

@maddyandzach
@maddyandzach Місяць тому
Yeah, we have a high altitude setting on the heater. That wasn’t the problem unfortunately but good idea!

So I will not preach about should have never removed your factory bus heater.you've already learned your lesson there. I just hope others are paying attention also. I have had nothing but good luck with those cheap Vevor diesel heaters.and they are so cheap. You can actually buy one just to have for a spare. Less than $100 no sales tx free shipping. I'D imagine the 5K will work fine in your little bus with good insulation you have. Or go 8K and run it on lower setting. I see that it's very common for Van lifer's, bus lifers, truck camper people having heat problems. A backup option is a definite necessity. Stay warm!!!
