A homeless woman attacked my daughter (age 2) and I outside a grocery store. There was no motive behind it, and it turns out the woman had a violent history. It was one of the most terrifying days of my life, and I still can’t go into a public space by myself without my head on a swivel. All these angry people out there, are absolutely horrifying. I worked at the ymca and we had a blind lady come in with her dog all the time the amount of time that i had to tell people to leave her dog alone was crazy and they where grown adults. She would leave her guide dog alone and he would stay in the same spot at all times . Even with grown adults acting like thet had never seen one before. I would always help her to the pool just because she could fall in the shower area. She was the sweetest lady.

Thank you for voicing the importance of people training their dogs. I work retail and we get so many leashless dogs that shouldn't be in the store in the first place, and one of them lunged at another customer's child right in front of me. As someone who was attacked by a dog as a child and has been afraid of them since, I really wish more people would take the time to train their dogs as it's not fair to the public or the dogs. I didn't want to hate dogs, I used to love them but that was taken from me and plenty of other kids.

Ya there was another dog one on one of her other videos. A dog was being aggressive with other dogs at a dog park. It was the small dog part of the park and honestly to me it didn't seem aggressive. It wasn't attacking any of the other adults or kids that was there it wasn't barking all crazy. In fact it was sitting down like a good boy while it's owner held it by the collar. To me it seemed more like it's never really been around small dogs before and didn't know how to play with them.

The sleeping customer being woke by having water dumped on him infuriates me. Homeless or not, you don’t know his story, show some human decency. I had worked at a movie theater years ago and while cleaning up after a movie there was a man fast asleep. After I GENTLY woke him by tapping on his shoulder, he apologized as he just got of a 20 hour shift as an ER doctor. He needed some downtime and was more exhausted than he thought. I offered to let him stay for the next showing as he slept through the movie. He decline and went home to sleep. Did I know any of that before he told me? No. I treated him like a human being. What this Dunkin’ Donuts employee did was disgusting.

My daughter got a German shepherd husky mix. She had him on a leash from day 1. He is crate trained (when told to go to his bed he goes to his ginormous crate) he then went through several rounds of 16 week training. He listens fully and responds to the commands he learned. With owning a large, aggressive breed dog it’s good that he knows how to behave. He is not always being “commanded “ but when he needs to listen we are able to control him. If he is running to the street we just tell him “stop!” Then “wait” and he sits and is watching us totally focused. He then gets a treat, he’s VERY treat motivated 😊❤

Your puppy is beautiful! Also it’s great that you are teaching her “tricks” for treats. There are so many dogs surrendered every year for unwanted behaviors and teaching the dog that you are the boss (a.k.a. Treat lady) is good for both of you. Even though an old dog can learn new tricks most of the time it’s easier to teach them when they are puppies♥️ Best of luck to you both for many years of happiness with each other.

That woman's dog bit her when she grabbed its collar, imagine if that had been a child. And she didn't even flinch, like it was nothing new (although she was walking outside in gripy socks, so I'm not sure what to expect after that). She didn't care that there might be kids around or that a car might run them over. Some people just really don't deserve dogs. When did people stop respecting the unspoken rule about not distracting a guide/service dog? I knew not to do that as a child and I'm fast approaching 50, so why are there now so many entitled and stupid people who don't know that? Or who act like they were personally insulted when asked not to? Distracting a service dog could put someone's life at risk, you don't know what that dog is doing for that person, beyond the traditional gude o for blind people or hearing dogs for deaf people, the dog might be trained to detect blood sugar issues; heart rate fluctuations; impending fainting, seizures or narcolepsy; or even things like anxiety attacks. In some cases, they aren't just trained to indicate when there is a problem but to actually aid the person (things like deep pressure therapy where they lay across the person's legs, for example). Distracting a dog for just 1 second could be enough for them to miss alerting for a serious problem, can result in the personnsuffering a serious medical emergency or getting hurt if they fall from full height. Even if you are old school and only think of service dogs as being guide dogs for blind people, that moment of distraction might mean a guide dog misses stopping their person at the curb or stairs etc. Idk why people don't get that without having to be told. And, let's not forget the audacity and entitlement to think they can just ask for a person's medical history...that is 🤯

Thank you talking about the importance of dog training! There is nothing worse than people who cant control their dog, their dog bites someone and then they cry about how they are going to lose their dog. 😑 - I just heard about a client who moved to new community out of state and her dog was killed by the neighbors german shepherd, first day they got to the house. The neighbors just let the dog roam.....😮‍💨 - I love shepherd, its so sad, most likely it will get put down.

I’m disabled and while I don’t have a service dog, my disease is degenerative so I’ve always known that I might need one some day. Anyway, when my kid was small, every time we saw a service dog I’d pull him aside and remind him what does it mean when a dog is wearing a “uniform”? And why can’t we talk to or pet these dogs? (The reason was “because they’re working and we shouldn’t bother them the same way we can’t text or call daddy all day while he’s at work.”) I also told him that if he saw a dog that he liked so much that he just couldn’t stand it, he could tell the dog’s person “Excuse me, I just wanted to say that your service dog is a good boy/girl and can you give him/her some pets from me later?” But if I saw any other small kids around, I would deliberately stand near them while my kid and I went through the reasons why we couldn’t pet service dogs, even after my kid had heard it enough times that he was exasperated and was like “I know, mom! Geez!” A few times I did this, once we finished, the kids we were near ran over to the handler and told them they knew they couldn’t pet their dog, but he looked like a really good dog and could they give the doggy some pets from them later when he’s not working. I really hope the message stuck in the heads of a couple kids and that maybe they passed it on to a couple of friends.

Sam, i had an experience a while back with special adults and a service dog trainer. I was at the mall paying my phone bill when a group of special adults came by with their group leader. At the same time a woman training service dogs came from the other direction. The first group, excited at seeing the dog, tried to pet it. The trainer went full Karen and screamed in their face for 5 minutes. I immediately jumped in and stated that they didn't understand and know what was going on but she just whined about how all her training was shot by this. Also, i manage a Mcdonald's and we are told to gently wake up someone who appears to have fallen asleep, not dump water on them. That's just bullying.

Training your dogs is super important I have two GSD'S ( brothers from the same litter) who are ALWAYS on leash outside of our home ,they also wear muzzles ( which they love wearing) and are crate trained. Atticus will actively ask to be put to bed at 8:00PM every evening and bc he's a good little brother Hugo goes with the flow, lol. We worked / trained extensively with our boys due to the chance of littermate syndrome and burning the extra energy off by hiking every day helps as well, we normally do around 7km-10km a day ( once they were old enough and it wouldn't cause medical issues) We have also done scent training with them....I will never be able to hide from them,lol but if I'm ever lost I know they're coming for me..... in a 10 acre forest they can find a piece of my clothing within 20 minutes . Added bonus I trained them in more than one language. I know this type of training isn't for every dog but GSD'S are working dogs and are happier when given tasks/jobs. There's nothing more destructive than a bored working breed dog.

I really can't understand people that would give you crap for training your dog, but I guess these are the idiots that pick their dog for looks without ever researching the breed and then get shocked when their working dog (which is what her dog is) is a holy terror in their apartment. All house dogs should be trained and dogs in a city should always be on a leash outside the home. So many people that have dogs shouldn't have dogs. Bad pet owners have ruined so many good breeds. And that goes with the service dogs too. So many jerks bought fake IDs for their dogs and a lame vest "so they're service dogs now" that nobody believes in actual service dogs anymore so those poor people get harassed. It's just such a shame there isn't this worldwide information source that is available at the tips of their fingers. Oh wait...

I agree with EVERYTHING you said. But to add to my pet peeve of dogs I will raise you a: people who do not train small dogs because they are not physically imposing or take their dogs "on walks" then CARRY THEM or put them in trolleys. I was coming back from SMP, I was 16, broad daylight. Keep in mind I am proud of my Native American and Norse heritages. Meaning I usually look like a Pride Viking (Native colors/Representations, Norse inspired runic makeup - Yes, I have learned to freehand every shape down to Yggdrasil, I have been like this most of my life). Me, sitting on an NYC train, was a show in itself. The lovely local Crazy Woman decided that was the day to steal some poor Asian woman's umbrella and brandish it in *MY* face. Screaming about her son Frankie and I'm a Spanish w- not nice word for a female worker of the night. Now, I know to anyone else that's scary. I have the entire bone structure of a Native woman, with the skin and hair of my father's Norse ancestors. So, to put it mildly and simply, most people see me and go "Oh pretty - she looks like she's going to rip my throat out with her teeth - moving on". Yes, I have had that said to my face, I enjoy the fear. Whatever these NYC crazies go through, it's Nam levels, because *no one with sanity approaches me screaming and doesn't at least question whether or not they'd die for doing it, and likely opt out because I don't look like I regret taking lives.* Needless to say, she was met with confusion at first, then me standing and snatching the umbrella from her hands and my asking; "Shall I bury you next to your son, when I am done returning you to the Earth?" Cue her trying to square up again, this goes on with me getting progressively more atrocious and graphic. She did eventually relent and get off at one of the stops and I returned the umbrella to that poor, shocked and scared Asian lady. *No one bothered me for the rest of the ride, not even my friends. No regrets, I love how insane this story is.* This is my "if I said you'd never believe it was true" story.

Performers on a lit stage are blind. They can't see anything coming so cannot defend themselves. At least a cell phone can be traced and the owner charged with felony assault. It doesn't help the performer but it might get the point across. So would the performer walking off stage, cancelling the concert, blaming it on the individual throwing the object.

I completely understand why these celebrities act the way they do when they get hit with something. Makes perfect sense. However, I would go another way with it (after settling down). Bring the person up on stage and have them explain to the whole crowd why they did what they did. I know some people will cry "Humiliation." But why shouldn't that person be called out for what they did? They clearly wanted to be noticed by either the celebrity or other people. They're getting what they wanted. This is just my own perspective though.

Cardi-b was asking people to throw water on her though. And she hit someone who DIDNT throw water at her, just someone close by. You can see the full clip if you search it. She ASKED people to throw water on her. Then threw a microphone with FORCE at her fans and didn’t even hit the water-thrower.

@@stephanieweeks3489she was joking, obviously that water also had ice that could've hurt her or somebody else it's not her fault that she reacted that way I'm pretty sure that water was ice cold and she did it out of a fight or flight reaction she chose fight and threw the microphone. For the person who didn't throw the water it was the other fans fault(person who threw water) for throwing it in the first place it's completely illogical if she wanted to help cardi B she could've handed her the water cup and that would've solved this, I'm not trying to be rude btw just saying my opinion so we can have a civil discussion.

@@r0s3tta.d0lly watching the video she was acting pretty happy, if she was joking it really didn’t come across as such. She even bent over and said “splash that water in my p*ssy”. I can’t tell if there was ice in the second water throw but I don’t disagree throwing ice water isn’t smart and dangerous. But still- she didn’t hit that person. The person who got hit wasn’t doing anything and got hurt, there wasn’t any apology or anything to that person so it still came across very poorly. I don’t have strong opinions of her either way, maybe it was a miscommunication but either way someone who didn’t do anything for hurt for just standing there and no apology/help was given to that person.

The problem is, so many people DO just get regular dogs and then slap a service dog vest on them (you can get them anywhere) so that they can take them anywhere and claim they're service animals. That causes people to be skeptical and question legitimate service animals.

How was it discovered that those dogs weren't really service dogs? What if the real reason for the skepticism is because the person doesn't "look disabled" so it's assumed that it's not a real service dog? When in reality, it could be an emotional support dog. People are too judgmental. If the person doesn't look disabled to them, they assume it's not a real service dog. There's no way of knowing for certain whether or not it's really service dog if you don't know the person. You don't know many times it was assumed that it's not a service dog because the person doesn't seem to be disabled and people them are judging by appearances. It's best to mind your business. Let the store employees and the police deal with it.

@@uselessinformation1988 the difference between service dogs and regular dogs is very clear by the way they behave in public, and as much as I love dogs, ESAs are NOT service dogs and are not entitled to be brought everywhere. It has nothing to do with how a person looks.
@torres-314
@torres-314 8 місяців тому
@uselessinformation1988 I agree that that should be left to associates of whatever place is being patronized by the person with the animal. Emotional Support Animals aren't covered under the same protections of the law as a Service Animal, but it's up to the store/hotel/restaurant to handle that, not random people in the same place. Employees know what they are and aren't allowed to ask legally and what their policies are on whether or not they're pet friendly (allowing animals other than Service Animals) or not. I work at a hotel and had some random guest tell me I needed to kick someone out for having a pitbull because pitbulls "can't be Service Animals". Not only is that not true, but it's none of your business unless something happened that directly afftected you. Nothing had happened. It WAS ABSOLUTELY a service dog. It's pretty easy to tell because they're extensively trained, don't bark, don't leave their owner's sides, the most well behaved animals I've ever met regardless of breed, but this other guest just apparently didn't like pitbulls.

I have a personal story of someone being rude to me that happened earlier. I’m a cashier at a grocery store I live by and I was working the self checkout area with one of my coworkers and a lady needed help ringing up her cherries. I did it for her and was explaining how I did it so she knows for next time. This woman cuts me off mid sentence and says “well I’m already done I just have to pay now” with an attitude, so I walked away and was telling my coworker about it. I said “like I’m just trying to do my job and help you, but if you’re gonna be a bitch then just go home.” That lady heard me and we made direct eye contact and she started to tear up. Moral of the story, treat people the way you want to be treated and match someone’s energy if need be 😁

Ok I'm very biased here because I'm from the third world, and I have a soft spot for feral dogs, and many of my happiest memories were from feeding and playing with the feral dogs on the street. Living in america, I picked up a dog from the street, and took him home, and he could easily get over the fence or open doors was used to going where he wanted , and would roam around as he pleased before coming back home and the white people would hate it and constantly threaten both my dog and me. Like he's 35 pounds, he's more afraid of humans than they are of him. That's the other thing about feral dogs, they know to fear humans, they're only a threat to us at night when they're with their gang, even then they aren't looking for smoke with humans, bc they know better.

20:06 At my old job, I once had a guy come in and try to order off our lunch menu two full hours before we started serving lunch. My coworker repeatedly explained (in the nicest way possible) that we weren’t serving that at the time and offered him substitutions. He kept talking to her like she was stupid, but eventually accepted the substitution. He got his food, left, then came back a few minutes later and THREW THE FOOD AT ME. Claimed it wasn’t what he ordered and that my coworker was incompetent, so I told him that he was the one berating her, refusing to listen when she said she couldn’t get him what he wanted, and also the one literally throwing food at me, so he could either try that again (but politely this time) and MAYBE get some help, or he could leave without getting any food or a refund. He chose to scream at me some more so I rose my voice above his and told him to get the fuck out, and the owner backed me up. That is the one and only time I have ever cussed at a customer, and I’ve literally had customers call me t-slurs unprovoked.

Okay, not a service animal story, but similar. My family and I went to Disneyland last year and when we walking in to the park, we passed a Disney security cast Member with a working dog. My mom, bless her heart, starting making kissing sounds at the animal. The security cast member responded “both of us are not interested” I had to explain to my mother why that wasn’t appropriate behavior with working animal, because she’s not used being around working dogs. 😓

My personal belief is that all dogs should be on leash except for service dogs. If your dog is off leash, and it is misbehaved, you should be fined. If you have your dog off leash and it behaves well, I still think it should wear a muzzle, excluding service dogs, cage muzzle allow them to drink and do everything except harm a person or a dog, dogs have prey drive, people forget that they are like wolves and will chase something. Just keep your pets on leash.

I have ran into this a couple of times! Now I will say I don’t take him with me if I just go out to town (5 minute drive and maybe I’m gone for less then a half hour) but on long trips he is with me 24/7! We always check the bag b4 leaving the line because this McDonald's never got shit right. sure enough we were missing two things we paid for and two other things we got were wrong. So we sat waiting at the window this effing girl just sat there for 20+ mins thinking we would just drive off but we wanted our food... at this point we had beeen in this line for 45-50 mins.... she was just at the window facing us but turned slightly like she couldn't see us but she def could and she knew cars were behind us waiting for their food finally she went to the back and some other person came up and helped us.. they open the window like nothing happened and got us our food and we left.. nobody said anything about the wait or why she just sat at the window pretending like she couldn't see us. None of us were rude or mean to her we politely took our food said thank you and then realized we were missing things and just sat waiting for them to open the window and help us... and she just never did. I'm glad she finally got some one else but I have to idea why she wouldn't open the window.
