I should get it for Maus grind. I play American heavies mostly, but have been considering German heavies. So play tactic is "hide behind walls if necessary; otherwise, be the wall"?

@@stevemc01 Yeah, or at least sort of. German heavies tier 8+ are great tanks in their own way, cuz are made mainly for sidescraping, so front of the tank facing a building or almost any big obstacle, then some angling and mosty you are good with that, but turret cheeks are, especially against gold ammo, significant weakness and people will try to shoot you there, so angling with Vk and so on requires you to face the turret in same direction as the hull, so it becomes ,,part of it,,. Then, when enemies are reloading, you lean slightly from the cover and shoot. Among other weak spots - cupolas on Vk and Mauschen, lower plate on all tier 8+, ammo in the back part of the turret and on sides there. As for tactics, you can ,,bodyguard your teammates with your own hull,, , but its not worth the hp loss so often. Also there is no escape from most flanks thx to low speed. Acceleration is pretty good though. Leading the push is also viable, but remember to have support, nothing is better target than a lone Maus. But overall your biggest enemy will be arty, all the time you will get hit by it even if there are better targets, so carrying 2 repair kits may be worhty. Btw idk if that still works, but shooting enemy Maus from side right under top of his front part of the hull with engine causes it to catch on fire. Hope this helps, gl & hf ;)

@@stevemc01 Oh, and I forgot to mention 2 maybe most important things - 1 when pushing, you can sometimes stop going forward and at least for a second hide and sidescrape or read the situation better if they try to counterattack, but NEVER forget to angle, if not all your tank, then at least the turret. 2. Try to play in platoon with a faster heavy (tT7, Is7, ...) and a medium (obj 140, stb1, ...) so they can spot in late game and support you on your flank.
