While watching this, I had the biggest grin on my face for a plethora of reasons: 1. If you’ve seen the Donkmaster series, this was like “a taste of his own medicine” 2. Also, one is AWD, so it's going to hook on any surface, and the other just spun it's tires the length of the track. This is really history in the making. Basically, 2 different worlds coming together. Mad respect to Ken for doing this, straight respect to Donkmaster as well. Atleast have an extra set to switch between lo-pros and fatties. It amazes me how many people go crazy with power mods, then neglect the wheels/tires and suspension. @@DIYAmateurHour Drag setup is for track, where there's extra traction laid down, to try to do the equivalent of that on this clean road, you'd need probably double the width of the tires. It's why both teams mention they'd like a rematch on an actual track. Hoonicorn's AWD basically is like the RWD with double the width of rear tires.

very obvious, the Wheels & tires are the biggest issue. but, i understand, that's part of their culture. get some slicks and normal rims, and it wouldgo..but that awd machine still wouldn't be beat, for sure..would take 1800-2,000hp. depending on awd or rwd for another car, and weight..man, that machine is awesome..like the other car too, just not a fan of the rims/tires..i imagine, its dangerous as hell at high speed or even acceleration. still a super nice build

@Christopher The efficiency cap for AWD depends on your drivetrain, you can’t just pull a number out of your ass for that. Same goes for the 300hp, there’s a lot more variables to that equation than that. The fact that you don’t see AWD in top fuel is also culture, basic aerodynamics and the fact that RWD is more simple. You might pull the front up a little, but that just means you have to work on the car’s balance and power split. At the end of the day the extra work will be worth it, because AWD doesn’t just have one single advantage. You can see that in roll racing in particular, the car is planted even while shifting and that shit just keeps pulling. Quite honestly the only one who seems confused here is you. Top fuel and normal people drag racing are basically incomparable, therefore applying the same logic to both is just dumb
