It's just people's honest impression that this year's ceremony was underwhelming and the CGI looked so bad considering it's 2023 and last year's ceremony was wayyy better with lil nas x and jackson.

They don't need to out do the old ones, but this year is even below average and that's unacceptable for such a big company like Riot.

People have the right to complain and to expect improvements. Especially this year, after Riot told us they had spent their biggest budget yet. CGI quality was worse than other years. Sound mixing was off and you could barely hear the singers because the backtrack was competing with their voices. The rise song is popular because it's a hype-up type of song, but the instrumental of the remixed chorus was kinda awkward together with the hype shouting. The smoke machines and lighting hid the dancers and the choreo was hard to see sometimes These are all issues that can be easily solved but weren't. Idk, not a bad opening ceremony, but also not among the best

People are allowed to not like it but what I'm saying is there's always something not good enough and it's always what's wrong that is focused on instead of just looking at it for what it was presently. It was a fun opening for a fun event... that's it. They could've done this, they could've done that, they shouldn't have done this... yeah they could've and shouldn't of done some things but instead of focusing on that because it can't be changed now... Why is negativity always the first go to for so many people? Some of these comments aren't even constructive criticism which would be helpful for next time... just complaining

2020 was definitely not an afterthought wtf, the only thing that makes it worse than 2019 is the fact that covid it made it so that they couldn't get all the performers, everything else is on par and definitely not an afterthought
