Don't worry about what others say. Your art is beautiful. Art is a form of an individuals expression. You don't have to agree, but you also don't have to bring people down because you don't agree. Without art we wouldn't have anything colorful in this world.

11/15/2019 USA Grandpa Bill: for a couple of years now I have searched and watched many videos on painting, and listened to many miles of talking. Yesterday, a brown hand appeared on my screen and demonstrated in a few strokes backed by quiet music several little dots of color then smeared into delightful little scenes. I have learned as much in a few short videos as I have in many longer ones. Wow Art, thank you for your effort and sharing. You are a tropical island in the midst of a sea of controversy and competition.

@@lydia2826 sorry that I'm not wow art but I kind of know the answer to that. Technically you don't *have* to seal the paint, but the colors will eventually become dull from exposure to open air (*especially* if you smoke, the paint will yellow and become super ugly), and there's a good chance the paint will end up peeling off eventually, too. Since she's a professional and sells these paintings she uses the varnish to prevent that. Varnish usually starts to yellow and/or start to crack over time as well, but it makes the painting last much longer. Or, at least, that's what I've been told by painters. I just use pencil and ink, and have no personal experience with paints, so take what I say with a grain of salt.
