This is what I noticed too, Barty is smart, you can tell by the content of her replies to interviews. Very well mannered, level headed, intelligent. Her IQ level is obviously the biggest reason why she knows how to win points in her Tennis games. What a Gifted woman she is.

Winning slams is great but I think it’s more hard to maintain consistency throughout the year. Barty had a 46-8 win record in 2021. Winning 5 titles while appearing in just 6 finals. Show me another player who have such records and deserves to be number 1 instead of Ash Barty. Even when you made this comment she was milestone ahead of other players on the tour with winning 3 titles ytd. Btw, since your comment Ash has won 2 more slams.

That's because she is a smart server. Her service speed is not particularly high but her placement and variety of spin are impeccable, and she knows when and where to serve during her service game which gives her an edge over some of the more powerful servers in the tour
