RAW should be the one to watch though , especially according to JD. He went in hard about Dynamite being AEW top show and no other show matter as much. So I find it weird WWE decided to start their "draft" on their B show known as Smackdown. Why is that occurrence not being called out enough for another of WWE many mistakes over the last several years.

It was really 2004-2010 Drafts that were good. Maybe 2016 too. But otherwise they all sucked. HHH is all hype and nothing more. No wonder why Black n Gold lost to AEW.

Can we just get rid of this draft shit, and split rosters. It doesn't matter cuz they always show up on each other's show anyway within a matter of weeks. It will also help reduce the amount of titles. There should only be one main champion, one set of tag team champions

I don't think people are being hard enough on this draft. It may have been the most pointless one to date, and that's saying a lot. Not to mention that we are supposed to take AJ Styles seriously because he is taking on Cody, yet he's a fourth round pick. That's just one example of many head scratchers etc., that just made this draft boring and nonsensical

I think the champion exemption thing has messed it up. I personally liked the unpredictability of no one being exempt even the title holders. I also didn't get the priority order of the picks being made this time. As you mentioned the AJ Styles exemption being the 4th round pick not much making much sense considering he is #1 contender. Also when do nXt get to make their picks? Or are they just going to get raided without a chance to draft anyone on Raw or SD who may benefit from being in nXt for a bit (looking at guys like Shinsuke in particular)

Smack down sucked. Don’t need to be a tribalist to see that. That main event was not poorly booked. It was a nice build that made sense. The problem was, the match was putrid. Worst Cody match I’ve ever seen. The matching missed Cody cutters looked dumber than TK trying to sell a stomach punch. I must live in bizarro world if 14k people willingly paid to see that show. We rip on AEW for legitimate reasons. We should do the same here.

2008 draft was one of the best, also 2005 lottery was a great concept. The 2004 draft was meh but it had a great HHH vs Guerrero main event and ending. The worst will always be 2011 or 2016.

I like how the draft was done back in 2004. Most of the wrestlers that were drafted last night were drafted to the show that they were already on! Outside of Nia Jax and Carmelo Hayes… Vince is a lot of things, and I’m super glad he’s out the company but we can’t pretend he has not done anything good over the years.

Apart from Melo v Cody, this show sucked. Only thing that genuinely surprised me about the draft was Bron going over to Raw. Why make such a big fuss about SD signing him a few weeks back then? And the lack of heat between Cody and AJ was underwhelming. They could have done so much more like even some sly references to them being former Bullet Club members would have been good. Also if I didn't know any better, are they trying to retcon AJ's heel turn and imply he only turned heel to feud with LA Knight? I hope not.

First Black Women to get overall no 1 spot. Carmella first NXT star in the first round. Also Gunther wasnt eligible for this draft

I knew the draft was going to be lackluster once they announced that only half the roster could be drafted.. once you looked at the roster of people that were able to be draftedand then when they announced that the champions were protected, i was like naw bruh, this ain't it. It took the same approach as before..Half the people stayed on the same brand.. smh.. I'm a big wwe fan, but this show had no excitement.. happy for Melo though

I've scoured the ends of the Internet and that's where the buck stops with me I can not listen to anyone else ... not taking away from others, they all work very hard in their own right and ways ... anyways besides the point I would love to see these 2 heavyweights do a show at least together and have nothing filtered or holding back ... I thought the draft was decent. It wasn’t anything crazy but I think Monday we will get the big drafts come RAW. I was happy Bianca got first draft she definitely deserved it. She’s stepped up her game from 2020 and now she’s letting the other girls she like Becky is with her winning the title to put over liv and rhea. I was for Becky as champ because she’s been killing it putting others over.

I would of rather seen #wwe title match against LA knight.. that match would be more unpredictable....plus u have the underlined eliments of a new upstart, finally getting a fair chance vs. Cody the new champion, trying to show hes the fan favorite that can carry the company, right out of WrestleMania ..... Also seeing the 50/50 crowd going back and forwth with cheers would be a nice feel for france

I mean Tbf i think they went with Kiana instead because Of Roxanne being the NXT Women's champ and most likely lose the title to either Cora. Giulia Fallon or Tatum then she'll get called up Just like Illia did after losing To trick i don't think she's Elegible Not to mention Cora and Nikkita are injured and are gonna be out till September/ October Lyra is in the middle of a Storyline with Tatum i don't know what tf are they doing with Gigi im not so sure about Jacy. Sol just feuded with Blair and Lola is in a feud with Natalya so i think that's why they went with Kiana instead IMO
