I have to sing this song to myself every single day just to remind me that 'you is smart, you is kind, you is important'.

I had a boyfriend that died at age 18, he loved me with all his heart. I had a husband of almost 50 years that passed away in Sept 2013. He loved me more than can be put in words or described. I have had another man that passed away since then - -they say I was the love of his life. So I have known love and I have given love. Today, I have a guy that I think I could love deeply if I could tear down the walls. To love and be loved is the greatest thing besides God. We as humans crave that. Adele makes us feel it in our soul and it grips our hearts. Even at my age (73) I want to share it again. Nothing like it. :)

The great thing about this song, video and Adele's interpretation of the lyrics and performance is combined they are able to capture a moment in time which if not recorded would be lost forever. It doesn't matter that it is staged. the raw emotion of Adele's voice along with the instrumental is able to convey the loneliness we all do feel when somebody we love does not reach out to us in the same way we reach out to them. Somebody watching this video 100 years from now will feel the same way we all feel after having just watched this, as Adele did performing it. This video goes far beyond the marketing of a song and its performer, but into the realm of art. Well done Adele.

I'm 60 years old and got plenty of things wrong in life, but I only have one major regret. That I couldn't sing or whisper this into the ear to my partner of 25 years who was suffering from cancer before she left. I felt every word was true, but I didn't do it !!
