I didn't have a graphic tablet, just a pen tablet by them, but it up and stopped working one day and I barely even had it for that long...which is a shame because it was my first experience with a drawing tablet of any kind, and the break was very sudden, it was doing the same thing yours was doing in a way, drawing on it was impossible.

When I had a XP-Pen back in 2018, it gave me black screens at random. They send me a new cable, helped a little. In the end I just stopped using it.

ive had 3 screenless tablets in my digital art journey, two wacoms and an xp-pen, and ironically, the one who lasted the most is my XP pen (my wacoms lasted 1 year while my deco 07 is 3 years and counting lol) from the info on the video i think the problem on your tablet was totally the drivers, i use a version of the drivers that doesn't have the "launcher" thingy (i only know about this 'cuz ive installed it on two different devices and accidentally installed the launcher on a laptop) so it doesn't auto-update or anything like that and its working just fine. i think it's totally a shit thing of them to not have older drivers available on their website, if your backup tablet worked totally fine before and doesnt work after you updated it, it's a driver issue, and you won't be able to solve it UNLESS you find someone who has an older version and that person konws how to backup it and send it to you, something that could be avoided entirely if they had just. kept de godamn old versions on their site. and also wow that customer support was just awful anyway thank you for the video! i'm a big fan of my xp-pen after my second wacom started having problems after 1 month of use (my pen fell on the floor and i had to press down hard for it to register, i couldn't get a replacement because the pen was almost the same price as the tablet itself), but i'll keep the driver thing in mind before recommending the brand to someone else

sometimes, it's not really xp pen's fault; drivers are a mess, i learnt that the hard way with my ancient wacom intuos, then had it hit me again with my xp pen 13.3v2 and now i am praying my wacom one won't royally shit on me. i never had any kind of assistance for my intuos, i just gave it to my sister as her laptop didn't have any issues with it (and even if it had, she just took notes on it) my xp pen 13.3v2 has been my loyal companion for years. never had an issue with it 'till, stupidly, i switched from w10 to w11 2 years ago. xp pen has w11 compatibility even for older display tablets, just gotta update it. done. now i can only hover with the pen on my screen, it would click on stuff occasionally but it wouldn't even show the cursor up. that's... useless, i can't drag and draw. that's the whole point. i start messing around and i discover that, basically, the w11 update messed up most of my drivers. and for 99% of my stuff that was fine, it was just a name change or something in the output list. on a surface level it wasn't gonna create problems. except, the xp pen was once displayed as a video output AND a input device. now, god knows why, w11 identified the xp pen, driver or driverless, as a Mouse. so even though i would see the screen on my tablet, it wouldn't do anything but act as a mouse for my pc. i asked my friends and they all told me to reset the pc. i didn't wanna do that, 'cause yk i have a lot of stuff there. so i turned to assistance. they were not impressed with how stubborn i was to reset it, but they were nice. they told me that there was no other report for the 13.3v2 w11 driver compatibility in my region, so statistically my theory was right and more importantly my friends were right and a reset would have resolved the problem. but i just couldn't do it and i found a refurbished wacom one on sale that week so i sold my 13.3v2 (the buyer never had any issue with it, or at least they didn't complain when were in touch) and got the wacom one. hoping it lasts. now, here is what i was going to say. it's fine if you avoid xp pen for now. not only it's your right but, given that the 15.6 worked fine before you installed the second driven, your pc probably updated something or doesn't properly uninstall the drivers and it create conflict. and all of that sucks. when i transitioned to xp pen i could still use my intuos (to play osu!) 'cause there was no problem with having those two drivers together on w8, but i couldn't keep both the intuos and the one installed. and because of how computers delete information, it could very well be as if you never uninstalled them, unfortunately. so to recap: either your pc updated something colliding with the drivers, or your pc still thinks the other driver is installed because it didn't overwrite it yet. and that would explain why both tablets failed you in a week. in this case it would be wise to change brand so to avoid the issues completely until you wipe your data or change computer. yes, it could be just a sad coincidence and both tablets are actually damaged on a hardware level. but that's just too odd to me. i wish you good luck with your journey! it can be frustrating but it's always oh so rewarding. :) you can always stalk the wacom refurbished section to get some sweet sweet deals.

same thing was weird with my xp pen tablet, the only drivers that worked was the ones that came with the usb stick, and none of the updated drivers worked... customer service was unhelpful, they just told me not to use clip studio and use an alternative :p
