I do miss the unique abilities each Ring has in the comics, though. And it's not like it would be hard to implement them into this story.

Tony’s brilliant and smart, but he would have had a difficult time fighting Wenwu around Iron Man 3. If he had the nanotech suit by Infinity War, he might have had a better chance against the veteran warlord.

I can imagine the awesome fight scene done by the team who made shang chi movie. With Tony Nanotechnology making his suit more flexible at covering up a lot of combat style. Range and melee. It would be awesome

In the Shang chi documentary they said they changed the ten rings because they were too much like the infinity stones. Though they have hinted that the ten rings are more powerful then have been shown so they might gain those powers in the future.
