Blame Kerr & his small ball mindset. If he would’ve given him more opportunity to play…I’m sure Wiseman would’ve thrive instead of being useless.

Mark Jackson is the only one who can honestly say “he knew” not only did he say it but everyone (myself included) thought he was crazy
@L4-295Рік тому
He didn’t know about draymond
@joshnaround_9463Рік тому
Totally agreed mark let them play
@mdilz33Рік тому
Bro no he did NOT. Jackson said curry/Thompson were the best backcourt he never said anything about playing Draymond at Center. Jackson parked Draymond on the bench
@SportsSpeak73Рік тому
@@mdilz33 that's not entirely accurate Like the guy says, Draymond started playing because David Lee got hurt. David Lee was an All-Star for Mark Jackson and was good for 18ppg 10rpg every night. Draymond still averaged over 20 mpg Jackson's final year though so it's not like he was buried on the bench. He wasn't a starter, but he definitely got run.

wild quote from a guy who drafted Wiseman over lamelo
@SportsSpeak73Рік тому
In their defense, if they knew Klay's injuries were gonna rack up they probably take LaMelo. Also, Wiseman was considered a versatile big he just hasn't managed to figure things out with the Ws
@KKOPPONGРік тому
Well they got injury prone Steph and fought through it and now look what how that’s gifted them. Don’t be short sighted.
@aris_mendezРік тому
Bigs usually take longer to develop. The best bigs rn, Jokic, embiid, Giannis, all developed overtime.

Sending Wiseman too the G League is bad for growth, The Lakers did not do that for Andrew Bynum, not saying Wiseman is Bynum but they've got to use him and grow him in the NBA
@369pendulumРік тому
Bynum was drafted almost 20yrs ago. The league was different then. Sending guys to the G-league for reps is somewhat normal these days, I think Klay even played some G-league games last year. Teams weren't sending players that were being paid millions of dollars to the D-league back in the day.
@MrZahsomeРік тому
Except like you said, Wiseman is not Bynum. Bynum came into the league, pretty much good to go, his only problem was injuries which limited his playing time otherwise he'd have more seasons of 18 and 11. Wiseman straight up looks lost on the court and can't even properly screen at times, yeah he looks okay offensively but atrocious on defense.
@tyrellhines930410 місяців тому
It makes since because of the type of shooting they have in Steph and klay in the backcourt why play a traditional center who’s useless offensively and cloggeds the paint when draymond can rebound on 5s.
@StraightGuyStraightTalkРік тому
So are you drafting Shaq or Pat ewing in todays draft. And how are you using him.
@WyndamnРік тому
Those are two monsters in the paint, I'd draft them #1 and play them on the blocks like they're supposed to be played.
@SportsSpeak73Рік тому
I'd still draft either of those but they aren't as one dimensional as one might think. Ewing was a dominant defender who developed a jumper and Shaq was a dominant offensive player who could pass & was a rim protector to boot. Those aren't "big guys who can't do anything". Now if I'm talking guys of a lower tier like say Chris Kaman, give me the versatile wing over him.
@StraightGuyStraightTalkРік тому
@@SportsSpeak73 true. Yet I don’t believe the post game is being developed. There are some good 5s out there where if you put them on the block they would be more productive than the screeners who just set pics in the nba.
@StraightGuyStraightTalkРік тому
@@Wyndamn I just hope when another one comes along they don’t just make them set pics and rebound.
@SportsSpeak73Рік тому
@@StraightGuyStraightTalk idk while it's true they don't emphasize the post game much I think a big part of that is guys don't develop it in HS or college. I can count on 2 hands & maybe even 1 the number of legit 5s I'd be comfortable giving the ball on the block consistently (Vucevic, Embid, Jokic, Ayton, maybe Bam, & Cousins.) & one of them is out of the league for injury issues.

Trade Wiseman and Looney. Celtics are ready for us this year. They got more shooting. They have bigs. Looney is no match for the white guy#40 and hortford or Williams when he comes back. They relying on Curry to damn much. Celtics bench has better shooting. Just watch the games
