I love how I'm not even planning on buying a keyboard or can afford a good keyboard, it's just fun to watch keyboards.

I got myself the Logitech G915 Slim mech keyboard, after owning the MX Keys keyboard. I love them both, but for pure pleasure - the 915 is more satisfying. I started off with the Clicky (=blue equiv) but replaced it for the Tactile (=Brown equiv) - the clicky was way too noisy for me. This Mountain keyboard does look REALLY nice, but I actually prefer the media keys on the G915, especially the single-finger volume control scroll-bar. MANNN that world of keyboards is crazy! Great review, as always!

As someone who has build many custom keyboards in the last 10 years here is an explanation of the cherry mx switches and how I would rank them: 1)Mx Red - Smoothest out of all and sounds best after lubing. Is perfect for everything including typing and gaming. 2)Speed Silver - Same as mx red but the actuation point is quicker, mostly used for gaming. 3)Mx blue - Buy it if you want to wake up everyone at 3am 4)Silent red - Same as red but the bottom down feels as if you can't fully press it, feels weird. 5)Mx Brown - Please don't buy this, it's awful. Would 100% recommend this keyboard and I would recommend everyone to lube their switches, it makes an enormous difference plus makes it sound better and also feels better. The Cherry Mx switches are considered the worst switches when compared to other custom switches, if you have money to spare I would recommend you getting another switch and a new set of stabilizers with Krytox 205G0 lubricant. **Important** Buy a new set of keycaps (Would recommend double shot PBT keycaps), the keycaps on this keyboard is awful!

I like this keyboard. It reminds me of the Z keyboard from 15 years ago. It was popular in gaming because it was themed to PC games, giving specific hotkeys. It also had detachable side keys that gave additional hotkeys for a specific game.

Being pretty involed in both the Mouse and Keyboard hobbies it becomes pretty funny seeing the amazement at this. Especially with the lightweight mouse looking through the holes and the first though being ventilation.

The fact he’s struggling to tell the difference between liniers and cherry browns truely says something

Im a cad engineer and i was searching for a left numbpad so i can have all the shortcuts on the numbpad and have my right hand all the time on the mouse. Im using this keyboard now for 2 months and im really enjoy the keyboard.

I've done away with dedicated multimedia buttons on my keyboard ever since I had the 2 additional side mouse buttons on my Razer Viper Ultimate. Hold Down right M5(hypershift) with Left Click(Previous Track), Middle Mouse button(Play/Pause), Right Click(Next Track), and Scroll Wheel Up/Down(Volume Slider). Right M4 is used for mic mute. Never need to let go of the mouse again to change media or adjust volume.

The fact that the numberpad is removable is actually cool as fuck. I rarely feel that I need a numberpad but sweet to have the option of adding it if you feel like it.

I got mine backed up from kickstarter years ago, and I have bought three keyboards since receiving mine, and I must say that I always end up going back to this keyboard with the blue switches. I think I may switch it up and go gateron yellow next though.

First off, thank you for every video you have even put out. They are very informative and I find them to be honest and unbiased. That being that case, would you consider making a video about what laptops have the best sounding video/speakers? I have not seen a video about this subject from any content creators as of yet. Keyboards and mic are such a specific thing to get right. Once you find what you like its hard to go back to anything else. In my day to day I use the Logitech prodigy and Logitech G600. I dont personally like mechanical keyboards and I have big hands so I use a big mouse.

I love how people talk about how expensive these are, but like most things, great things in a hobby cost more. This looks like a very functional keyboard for the price. I just bought a 40% ortholinear keyboard that has less than half the keys for about the same amount as this one, and that keyboard has rookie status in the hobby. BTW, my favorite switches thus far are Kaihua Box White.

I had brown switches in my first mechanical keyboard but I switched to blue fairly quickly and have preferred blue ever since.

That swappable numpad is so cool. I'm using Logitech G Pro keyboard and had to buy separate numpad to put it on the left for convenience while using Blender.

love this keyboard.. I bought it with the brown switches.. I wish it was wireless.. I bought the Logitech g915 clicky also but it is not as satisfying to type on

Reminds me of the Microsoft Sidewinder X6 Keyboard .. Side-Swappable Num-Pad, Media Dial, Tons of Macro Key capability... Miss that keyboard..other than it being non-mechanical, it was top 3 of my fav keyboards in my PC use 'career'.

idk how, but based on Lew's explaination of the feeling of the switches + the sound, I actually guessed all the keys, but the only keys I'm familiar with, it's Corsair K70 RGB's red switches, which is kinda silent

that space bar really shows the quality there.

I have owned the Everest Max with Red Silent for 3mo+ and it is exceptionally well built. The media doc is a little plasticie especially compared to the rest of it but still works well. Would 1000000% recommend. I have owned mechanical keyboards from Corsair, Logitech, Ducky, Razor, & Steel Series. No comparison in quality of build, this is better.

Is there a grid somewhat that breaks down the attributes of each. IE level of noise, amount of travel, double click (down and up), etc ???

Listening to the sound of that keyboard makes me hungry 😛. Damn!! Giveaways please 😁

I am very interested in this keyboard, particularly the variety with blue switches. Alas, on their website they only have the brown and red switches. Ah well, perhaps I'll be able to actually afford this keyboard by the time the blue switches are in stock again.
