Marty Feldman doing a Groucho impression. It's perfect. The folks thinking Curly don't get that Curly was a buffoon character, while Groucho was all about wordplay - which is what the joke is doing with the deliberate misinterpretation of "bags."

Last year for my birthday my wife got us tickets to a special screening of this followed by a Q&A with Mel Brooks. Everyone laughed all the way through the movie like we’d never seen it before. Then Mel came out and talked. He said making this was the best movie making experience he had. It was supposed to be a Q&A but I think they only got through 2 questions because Mel would start answering a question and lead him to talk about Gene or Cloris or Madeline and it’d lead him to tell another story. He was great. He realized it took forever to answer the first question so he let the audience decide if we wanted him to stick to short answers and more questions or did we want him to talk about whatever he wanted? We were overwhelming in letting Mel talk about whatever he wanted and he talked for over an hour and a half. It was fantastic!

Making this movie without laughing was extremely hard because the movie itself was already very funny and recording with Igor must've been extremely funny haha

A timeless masterpiece that movies today still can't touch. This will forever remain as the gold standard of how a great movie is done.

His jokes are super basic. Age has nothing to do with it, even for the time he had mediocre jokes

I'm glad Gene was born in the time of talkies ... but he would have made an OUTSTANDING silent screen star. What expression !!!

Cloris Leachman, at almost 94 years of age and still acting. Marty and Madeleine left us far too soon.

Love this movie, the characters, their wit,and Mel Brooks is a comic genius, surrounded by a cast of comic geniuses, playing with a story that was meant to be dark, but imbuing it with endless laughter! One of my favs for sure! Reminds me of Abbott& Costello meets Frankenstein , enthralling!!! 👍💀👍

Great movie, great actors, funny outtakes, but the part that gets to me is hearing Mel Brooks off camera directing. He would crack up as much as the actors. He's 92 as I write this - God bless you Mel - no one has made me laugh more than you!
