It was actually designed by a company called Mach separate from Eufy. Eufy has since subsequently absorbed their company given this launch goes well.

It's a very interesting take on mopping, but one thing I learned years ago is you never buy the first generation of a new design -- this deviates a lot from the industry norm design wise in many ways, so there's likely to be a lot of unforeseen issues that need to be ironed out.

How good is it at mopping right up to edges? The x10 pro omni does a wobble and reach with the mop to clean right up to base boards. How good is this one?

At the point where it mopped over the dried coffee several times, did you have to program it to do it several times or did it use the sensors to know that area was not clean. Does the item clean to the sides of the room? The eufy x10 does a twist while going to make sure no spots are missed does this do something similar?

Interesting and enjoyable video as usual. How long does the mop work before it has to return to the base to clean itself out? The onboard tanks seem small, so I wasn't sure how many square feet is mopped before it needs to be refilled. Thanks Steve.

Great question, i reached out to eufy and here's their response. 1. The frequency of mopping cloth washing can be set according to the specific home environment, with a default of washing once every 45 square meters. 2. The onboard tank of the robot can mop an area of 30-70 square meters, with different water consumption levels for different settings.

Great question! I got this info from eufy: 10N pressure, Station Water Tank: 3L covering a clean area of 450m2. In advertising: A 150m2 house can use it 4 times a week. Dirty water tank: 2.7L

Since it comes in so many different shapes and sizes, it can't guarantee 100% recognition and avoidance. According to eufy's lab test data, it claims to avoid 95% of feces.

I Was reading that This robot has no onboard water container. It will keep coming back to the station to wet its mopping pad and back to where it's mopping. Can you please confirm if this robot has onboard water?

The main function of this robot is that it cleans the floor with fresh water continuously. It 100% has a clean water tank!

It has a built-in clean water tank and dirty water tank. When it returns to the base to dampen the mop, it also refills the clean water tank and then goes back to the area that needs mopping.

As I was reading/watching about this S1 Pro robot, it seems to be one of its kinda that none could have done the same, neither Roborock, Dreame, Ecovacs (the least unfavorable brand now due to its software problem) Do you know 1 year warranty still covers the kickstarter purchase?

I'm eagerly waiting for the release of this version and looking forward to hearing people's opinions about it. Although you presented it nicely, you didn't provide any critical or thoughtful insights. It seemed like a paid presentation, which made me hesitant about buying it. I can see some potential issues with this version, but I will wait to see the price before making any decisions.

They're coming this year from many of the leading manufacturers; including built-in cabinet compatible designs; so I suspect that feature will trickle down in a generation or two to Eufy.

I have both an iRobot and Eufy x8 pro. I purchased the latter after I purchased two versions of the iRobot and both broke down after just 18 months. The Eufy is superior by far. It gets stuck less frequently. It’s easier to clean and maintain. It does a better job of cleaning the edges

@@idunnnnnoThe kickstarter launches tomorrow. The pricing of £1,499 MSRP is appropriate. Mach S1 Pro is effectively a much higher end Omni 10x Pro which already starts at $799. Further, Mach V1 Ultra alone starts at $699 and that you have to push around like a normal mop. So it makes sense that Mach S1 Pro is significantly more than the Mach V1 Ultra given it’s completely robotic and you also have to factor in the advanced self emptying and filling base station. The $699 people are mistakenly getting confused with is because by signing up on Eufys website you would stand a chance at winning a Mach V1 Ultra, which is priced at $699.

this would be fine if your house did not have any carpet. that small one brush vacuum relies on the side brushes and that simply does not clean carpet.

This is unfortunately pretty common for Eufy. They flood the space with paid UKposts ads that have talking points during their initial marketing push for preorders. The thorough reviewers with standardized tests (e.g. Vacuum Wars, etc.) end up having to wait and purchase for their reviews. To me, it shows a lack of confidence in their own product. If I feel my product is top tier, I'm sending it to the reviewers that will thoroughly put it through the ringer with testing. Sure, we saw some obstacles and demonstrations -- but having standardized courses and testing protocols allows us to really tell if it's an improvement on something else.

Agreed. A paid advertisement. Did he get a free vacuum for praising it? I wonder if they would send him products if he actually mentioned its shortfalls? This vacuum is not good for corners. I have an iRobot i7+ and I haven't used it in a few years. It is too much of a hassle to clean. I advertised it today. Long overdo! The only way to clean is with proper cleaning products and machines. Too many lazy people out there looking for a quick fix.
