I think floating houses are the most realistic solution in terms of human adaptation to climate change, especially in coastal areas in response to rising sea levels. we can evacuate but we can also adapt, that's a choice.

I would LOVE this place, and I'm sure whoever bought it is very happy with it. For me, the first thing to go would be that window air conditioner in the kitchen window. I wouldn't allow anything to block my view at any angle : ) Next, I would install solar panels for power and convert everything, but having that generator is a huge plus. I'd do all this because that looks like a great location.

I like the loft idea. Good used space for otherwise just an actic. The steps look somewhat steap coming down,grab bars is a must. Maybe a stairway on the outside up to where a window is would be a thought, but at the same time going up if it were raining ah, and a fan could not blow air from down under up. Overall really nice set-up. You would always have fresh fish! Give new meaning to fishing right out your back door. Lol

man i would stay there, get a solar system up & running, cover most of the "deck" with a metal roof & skeeter screen around the vast majority of it... now that upper deck? would get a VERY nice telescope.. :d might add on sometime to have gardens...SMALL food type gardens. oh and a REALLY good water filtration system. very nice but obviously NOT in my price range..*LOL*

Some people still do. I remember back then when my mom and I both bought webtvs - we were so excited! One of the 1st things you saw when turning it on was Welcome to the World Wide Web and it showed a highway in front of you , leading us to information that was so easy now to find. Yes sirree bob, excitin times they were! LOL - saying WWW doesn't bother me, I get it.
