I had to glance away a couple of times because life, but did I miss something? I didn't see where the veterinarian refused to provide medical care or was negligent?

​@@m.l.b.2908 The vet said it would be difficult to keep a puppy so young alive-- which is true. Nowhere in the video did it said the vet told them to give up on it. I think it's important to temper the person's expectations if there's a sizable chance of it going wrong, but also telling someone that it will be difficult makes it very clear that you can't be super lax and things will just turn out fine. They needed to be incredibly diligent if this little puppy was going to make it, and that was very important information for them to have.

@@kailynrudd7937 Yes, my reply was a bit of an eye-roll for the exact reasons you're mentioning. It would be completely unethical for the veterinarian to not make them aware that this often doesn't turn out well. It would be like not telling an owner about the potential danger of anaesthesia to their high-risk pet prior to surgery. They would be shocked if it died on the table. People need to be able to make informed decisions wherever possible in any healthcare setting, whether veterinary or human. To practice in any other way is unprofessional.
